[Fort Thomas, Kentucky] –  Village Players of Fort Thomas presents its final show for the 2016-2017 season, DON’T TALK TO THE ACTORS by Tom Dudzick.  Performances for this production will be Apr. 21^st (Fri.), 22^nd (Sat.), 27^th (Thu.), 28^th (Fri.), 29^th (Sat.) @ 8:00 PM and April 23^rd (Sun.) @ 3:00 PM.

The best laid plans go awry when the cast and crew of a Broadway-bound play resort to manipulation, diva-like behavior, and chaotic abandon to get what they want. Fledgling playwright Jerry Przpezniak and his fiancée are a couple of Buffalo greenhorns suddenly swept up in the whirlwind of New York’s theater scene when Jerry’s play is optioned for the big money, ego-driven world of Broadway. It’s a young playwright’s dream, but the crazy characters and dilemmas they encounter are the things theatrical nightmares are made of. The cast includes Aaron Whitehead, Patricia Mullins, Alan Kootsher, Heather Abbott, Mark Metzner and Marypat Carletti.  This production is directed by Merritt Beischel, produced by Nathan Henegar and stage managed by Steve Winslow.

Village Players began in 1966 when members of the Fort Thomas Woman’s Club formed a community theatre department and renovated the lower level of the building to house a unique and intimate 102-seat three-quarter thrust stage. Village Players is a member of KTA, OCTA, ACT-Cincinnati and AACT. Located at 8 North Fort Thomas Avenue, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, Village Players mounts four productions each year and donates the proceeds of its spring production to charity. LOVE/SICK is a collection of nine slightly twisted and completely hilarious short plays. Set on a Friday night in an alternate suburban reality, this delightful romp explores the pain and the joy that comes with being in love. It’s an unromantic comedy for the romantic in everyone.
