Gertrude was born on June 6, 1927 and passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Gertrude was a resident of Ohio at the time of passing. A private service was held. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution to Stagecrafters Inc. would be appreciated.
Gittee was a dynamic force in Community Theatre in Cincinnati. He absence will be palpable to everyone she friended. Her presence was far reaching, as a founding member of Stagecrafters, and as ACT (Association of Community Theaters) of Greater Cincinnati began in its infancy. We will miss her charm, wit, passion, and singular drive as she guided many to a greater ambition with enthusiasm. A great person has left us. May we all be aware of the blessings she brought to us.

It is with great sadness that we announce that after our production of ALMOST, MAINE on October 27, 28, November 2, 3 & 4, Stagecrafters will no longer be producing plays.
his is a decision that the Board has agonized over for several years. We have done everything we can think of to keep going, even attempting a re-organization in the late spring but that did not result in the amount of interest necessary to maintain a community theater organization.
Much of the agonizing over this decision is because of all of you who have supported Stagecrafters over the last 67 years – audience members, patrons, subscribers, Board members, actors and behind the scenes people who have been there through good times and bad. We truly appreciate you all.
Please join us for the very special final production of ALMOST, MAINE. Let’s fill the seats of the Sharonville Cultural Arts Center – our wonderful home for the last 7 years!

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend – almost – in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

A male role, playing age early 30s to mid 40s has become available in ALMOST, MAINE which will be presented by Stagecrafters, Inc., opening October 27, closing November 5, 2018. Rehearsals begin August 28, 2018.
