Season Update from Sunset Players and The Arts Center at Dunham

SSP_logoOpening of Sunset Players and the Arts Center at Dunham FREE Family Fun Series 2020/21 seasons are on hold and events will be resumed when safely possible.

The well-being of our patrons, performers and volunteers continues to be our utmost priority. Our Board continues to monitor the local COVID-19 situation as well as the federal, state and local mandates regarding indoor theatrical performances. Due to the uncertainty on when indoor theatre will be able to resume, we find it necessary to announce a delay in opening our 2020/21 season until early 2021.

Additional Information:

We were unable to complete the final weekend of the run of our award winning musical PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES in March and cancelled our spring production of LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR, the final show of our 40th anniversary season.

Those who purchased tickets for PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES as well as Season Pass holders who were unable to attend a performance of it and/or the cancelled spring production should have been contacted directly regarding refunds, exchanges and other options. If we somehow overlooked contacting you, please call Deb Case, our Season Ticket Chair, at (513) 418-1644 ASAP.

It was our plan to roll over the final production of last season to open the next one, which no longer appears possible. We will not be selling season passes for 2020/21 until it can be determined when and what will be possible.

We thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate these murky waters. We will continue to assess all options and inform you of any additional changes as they occur.  Look to your email and our social media channels for future updates, and most importantly, continue to take all available precautions to stay as safe as possible during this challenging time.

FEAST Runs Aug. 7-Sept. 20

KTC_Feast promoFEAST
Know Theatre of Cincinnati
Aug. 7-Sept. 20
[Online]

Written by Megan Gogerty
Directed by Tamara Winters

Cast: Jennifer Joplin as Agathae

You are cordially invited to break bread, virtually, with one of the seminal monsters of literature: Grendel’s Mother, from the Anglo-Saxon epic, Beowulf. Share in her hard won victories and shattering griefs. Turn your collective gaze upon the wreckage of the 21st century, and find what it takes to maybe build a better world. And have a little treat. You deserve it.

FEAST. is an uncompromisingly brash reflection on devotion, grief, and the communal responsibility to stoke the fires of revolution. It’s a bold mash-up of a classical story with bracing modernity, painting a world where mythology comes crashing into pop culture.

2020-2021 Season Update from Troy Civic Theatre

TROY_logoImportant Season Update:

The TCT board of directors met this weekend. After contacting Governor DeWine’s office, the Ohio Dept of Health, and the Miami County Dept of Health, we have NOT been given the authorization to continue with our current plans.

After much deliberation, the board has decided to postpone THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS until (tentatively) January 2021. If allowed to reopen at that time, we will continue with FARCE OF HABIT in March 2021, and will present DADDY’S DYIN’, WHO’S GOT THE WILL in May 2021.

The anticipated productions of THE TIN WOMAN and BONNIE AND CLYDE will be planned for the 2021-22 season.

Thank you for your continued support and patience during these trying times. Our ticketing, program, and patron committees will be in touch with how you can continue to support us.

Stay safe. We look forward to entertaining you in the near future!
