Rob Bucher has been covering Greater Cincinnati theater online for more than 22 years and currently publishes Behind the Curtain Cincinnati. He has been an active member of the Greater Cincinnati Theater scene for more than 30 years both on stage and behind the scenes.
In recognition of his arts advocacy, Rob has received the first Friend of Association of Community Theater (ACT) Award in 2004, The Acclaim 2006-2007 Unsung Hero Award and the Ohio Community Theater Association’s (OCTA) 2008 Spirit of Community Theater Award, Southwest Region. Rob would like to thank the local art organizations, individual artists and arts patrons for their continued support.

do actors get paid for performing in the productions?

Depends on the organization. Generally community theater does not, some independent theaters offer a stipend for performing, equity houses pay.

I would like to audition for Christmas Season productions. I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Music, Vocal Performance, and I was a member of the professional Chorus of the Cincinnati Opera.
