  • If you are submitting a one-act or full-length play, please be clear about what 10-minute section you would like to have read.
  • Scripts must follow the template below.
  • Scripts must be paginated and playwright’s last name must be on each page.
  • Clearly underline portions of any stage directions you will need to be read aloud.
  • Include a brief synopsis—one that may or may not be read during the presentation.
  • Include a brief character break-down.
  • On a cover page, also include:
    • Playwright’s bio

  • Playwrights will not be present during rehearsals, but should be available to take questions via phone calls/emails if need be.

CLP Seeks Actor for Title Role in DRACULA

CCPACincinnati Landmark Productions will hold auditions for the title role of Dracula in DRACULA on Tue, June 4, 2013  from 7-9pm.

Auditions will be held at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.

Requirements for Adult Men (35 – 55 years of age): MUST HAVE A RESUME listing theatrical experience in order to audition. A headshot/picture is appreciated but not required. Auditionees will be asked to read from the script. British Dialect please.

Lucy Seward, whose father is the doctor in charge of an English sanitorium, has been attacked by some mysterious illness. Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist, believes that the girl is the victim of a vampire, a sort of ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its victims. The vampire is at last found to be a certain Count Dracula, whose ghost is at last laid to rest in a striking and novel manner. Pure escape and great fun. CLP Seeks PT Box Office Manager/Supervisor

CLPCincinnati Landmark Productions is seeking to hire a part-time Box Office Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Candidate must be able to work in an unsupervised environment. Must be a self starter, dependable, and have excellent communications skills.

Cincinnati Landmark Productions (CLP) is looking for a strong communicator, a people person, one who can work well independently and multitask in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule that includes night and weekends (when performances are running).

Working knowledge in PC based programs: Microsoft Word and Excel.

Theatre experience (especially box office) is helpful, but not necessary. Candidates with experience in sales, retail and hospitality are encouraged to apply.

The Box Office Manager must demonstrate skill and accuracy handling cash, credit card transactions and an in-depth knowledge of CLP’s ticketing system – ProVenue Plus. Ability to work with volunteer ushers providing an environment in which they are adequately prepared and enthusiastically thanked for their service.

Must be available to work Saturday evenings/Sunday morning/afternoon hours. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver, calm under pressure, thorough, diligent, detail oriented, organized, mature, discreet, patient, hospitable, ability to listen to concerns and resolve problems creatively and provided courteous and efficient customer service. Handle all transactions with fastidious attention to detail, discretion and security, and must maintain professional behavior handling confidential information. Help train and supervise Box Office Associates, as needed.

Other duties:

  • For performances, open box office 3 hours prior to performance, process ticket sales for walk ups and phone calls, prepare batch printing, assist with seating latecomers, answer phones until intermission, continue sales/exchanges with patrons during intermission and after show.
  • Supervise House staff
  • At Showboat, assist with closing of concessions stand.
  • Prepare box office receipts, deposit into safe, and email manager report
  •  Lock up theatre and turn on alarm. 

Pay rate is $9.00 hourly.

Film Extras Needed for THE LAST BATTLE on April 20-21

MISC_The Last BattleOne hundred extras are needed for two scenes in the trailer for THE LAST BATTLE on Saturday, April 20 and Sunday, April 21. These movie extras can work one day or two, depending on their own availability. THE LAST BATTLE is a local independent/ feature-length film, produced by Big Papa Film Productions.

If you would like to be an extra on Saturday or Sunday or both, please go our website: thelastbattlemovie.com and register as an extra. You will be contacted with the details for times, clothing choices and exact addresses.

The Saturday shoot will be in a church in West Chester. The Sunday shoot will be at Lunken Airport. Lunch is included on Sunday.

THE LAST BATTLE is the story of a Marine’s return to full-time civilian life.

Extras are unpaid.
