Show info: Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs and a sidesplitting book. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film (Fiona the princess, Donkey, Pinocchio, Gingy the cookie with attitude) to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meetsthe ears.

Schedule: Rehearsals will start the second week of July and are expected to be Monday-Thursday 6:30-9:00pm and Sundays 1:00-4:00pm, with the potential for some extended choreography rehearsals on Sunday afternoons. Not all actors will be called to every rehearsal. Performances are scheduled to be September 21-23 at the Mason High School Theater.
Who’s Directing?: “Shrek” will be directed by Caroline Hall, with Music Direction by Jeanne Bilyeu. Assistant director will be Brahm Corstanje.

Synopsis
Three Jewish widows in New York City have been friends forever and get together once a month to visit their husbands’ graves. One of them will never get over her husband’s death, the visit to his gravesite is the highlight of her month; another is just beginning to think about putting herself back out there socially and try dating; the third may have actually scheduled a date at her husband’s funeral for later that evening. How they support each other (and occasionally don’t) is a very funny (and sometimes touching) play about life, loss, friendship, and having the courage to turn a page and begin a new chapter for yourself.

Queen City Productions will be holding auditions for the first show of its’ 9th season, the timeless musical PETER PAN.
PETER PAN is the story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up and his adventures in Neverland with Tinkerbell, the Darling Children, The Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and her tribe of Indians and Captain Hook and all the pirates aboard the Jolly Roger. Come be a part of this reimagined production of a timeless tale that is sure to be a summer blockbuster!
