Half Escape Room, Half Brewery Tour, All Fun – Haunted Brewery Tours Return For Second Year

MISC_Haunted Brewery Tour 2019 logo
It’s ba-aaaaack.

The Haunted Brewery Tour – presented by the Brewery District Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation and created in cooperation with Christian Moerlein Brewing, Escape Room Family and Cincinnati Landmark Productions – returns for its second year, presenting the creepy and ghoulishly weird true tales of Cincinnati brewing history.Less of a haunted house and more of the world’s largest escape room combined with an actual brewery tour, the Haunted Brewery Tours asks you and your group to solve riddles to “crack the safe” containing a special secret recipe in Cincinnati brewing history.

Haunted Brewery Tours: Can You Crack the Safe? runs Fridays from 7-11pm and Saturdays from 6-11pm at the Christian Moerlein Brewery (1621 Moore St. Cincinnati OH 45202) in Over-the-Rhine. Timed entry tickets – just $25 each – are available at www.hauntedbrewerytour.com

***NEW THIS YEAR: Lights-on family hours on two Sunday afternoons (October 13 and October 20), to enjoy with kids. Nothing to be scared of, except watching your kids solve more puzzles than you!

Missed out last year? It was a rousing success. Don’t make the same mistake twice.

Enjoyed it last year? Come back! It’s a brand new experience, with new stops, new puzzles and a whole new mystery to solve. Can YOU crack the safe?

You will be led on a tour through the Christian Moerlein brewery and see tales from Cincinnati’s brewing past. There are clues and hands-on, interactive puzzles along the way to help you solve the mystery.

Will your group guess correctly? If you do, a special prize and your place in history await you.

Guests congregate in the Moerlein Tap Room – and perhaps enjoy a draft or two – to await their entry time. Once called, groups of up to 20 guests will enter the tour and meet their guide, who will lead them through the actual working Moerlein brewery.

MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS
February 13 – March 8, 2020
Book/Songs: Hugh Martin & Ralph Blane
based on “The Kensington Stories” by Sally Benson & MGM film

MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS is a rare treasure in the musical theatre; a delightful portrait of a turn-of-the-century American family. It is the summer of 1903, and the Smith family eagerly anticipates the opening of the 1904 World’s Fair. As they mark each holiday over the course of the year, the family’s love, zest for life and good-natured humor, helps them through each romance, opportunity, escapade and heartbreak. The musical has all the best-loved songs from the film, including “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “The Boy Next Door” and “The Trolley Song” !

Dee Anne Bryll, Director/Choreographer; Ryan Heinrich, Music Director; Maya Denning, Stage Manager

ALL SHOOK UP
April 2 – April 26, 2020
Book: Joe DiPietro
Originally produced for Goodspeed Musicals
Michael P. Price, Executive Producer, Sue Frost, Associate Producer.

ALL SHOOK UP is the ultimate crowd-pleasing musical – inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Set in 1955, a square little town in a square state becomes a rollicking locale when a guitar-playing, handsome young man on a motorcycle arrives to deliver romance and rock n’ roll! ALL SHOOK UP is a hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy that’ll have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with all the great Elvis hits, including “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Love Me Tender,” “Hound Dog,” “Teddy Bear”, “It’s Now or Never,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” “All Shook Up” and even more!

Maggie Perrino, Director/Choreographer; Greg Dastillung, Music Director; Jenny Lutes, Stage Manager

THE LAST FIVE YEARS
March 12 – 29, 2020
Written and Composed by JASON ROBERT BROWN; Originally Produced for the New York stage by Arielle Tepper and Marty Bell; Originally Produced by Northlight Theatre Chicago, IL

An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.

Tim Perrino, Director; Michael Kennedy, Music Director; Holly McGowan, Stage Manager
