2014 ACT Honorary Awards

ACT_purpleEach member organization is tasked with nominating someone for three Honorary Awards. These awards recognize the tireless efforts the nominees have contributed to not only making their respective theatres work, but also their dedication to community theatre. The recipients are chosen by a panel consisting of the past years winners plus a representative from the rotating list of groups. The selection process is given a lot of thought and discussion. Here is an overview of what the awards are and the winners.

The Roger Grooms Award

Choreography, musical or vocal direction.
The recipient this year is Burt McCollom.

The Mario Pitocco Award

To preserve and encourage innovative technical theatre in memory of Mario Pitocco, this award is presented annually to honor an individual who has shown continuous service and excellence in creative technical theatre, including, but not limited to: costuming, house management lighting sound program, props, set décor, set design, set construction, stage management, etc.
This recipient this year is Patrick Downey.

The Art Rouse Award
