Finalists for LCT Awards Celebration Announced

LCT_VThe League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) is pleased to announce the finalists for the annual LCT Awards Celebration, which honors the best of Cincinnati professional theatre. Finalists were chosen from the nominations made by trusted panelists who saw the shows during the year. One winner from each category will be announced at the Awards Party, Monday, June 16, at Arnold’s Bar and Grill, 210 E 8th St, in Cincinnati. This party theme was chosen to reconnect all participants in the industry and celebrate the 2013-2014 theatre season in a casual, relaxed format in one of the many beloved Cincinnati venues that actively supports theatre, theatre artists, and audiences.

“This will be a great party,” says LCT president pro tem, Liz Eichler. “It is designed as an extended happy hour, and will include hourly award announcements, some entertainment, some speeches, but it is all about connecting as an industry after a great season.”

“We are very excited about these Finalists,” says Panel Co-Chair, Dr. Sheldon Polonsky. “Winnowing these down to the best of the best is tough, so we rely on a numeric rating system.  The Outstanding Play category is just one example when there were just so many great productions, and far above average scores, that we could have had 10 Finalists. Cincinnati has more and more great theatre every year, and LCT is happy tospread the word.”
