A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Rehearsals: Daytime hours, November 16 – 26, 2013; The Children’s Theatre rehearsal room
Run: Daytime and occasional evening performances, December 1-22, 2013 (In-school shows to be booked during this timeframe)

To be considered:Looking for male actors. You must be between the ages of 18 and 45, available for ALL rehearsals and performances. If cast, you would play more than one role and would be expected to help with loading in and out of venues. This is a local tour, so there will be no overnight stays or long trips out of town. Transportation between TCTC and each venue will be provided.

Audiences encounter the greedy, abrasive Ebenezer Scrooge and his harrowing Christmas Eve adventure: The ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future will teach more than just Ebenezer a timeless lesson. With intriguing, creative staging set against a backdrop of Dickensian London, and a harmonic musical score inspired by some of the best Victorian carols, this unique production lasts 45 minutes and is a bestseller every time it tours. Drawing mostly from the original language, this is truly an example of one of our culture’s finest stories coming to life from the page to the stage.

Actor and Crew Needed for UCT’s IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

UCT_logoDue to unforeseen circumstances, UCT has two openings for their upcoming production.

First they need to fill the role of Ernie in their upcoming production of IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE. This role should be played by a male ages 30-45.

Additionally, they need to replace the role of stage manager for this production. This position will receive a small paid stipend.

UCT is also still searching for a Sound Designer for this production. Experience with musical underscoring is a plus. This position is also paid a small stipend.

TDW Seeks Directors for 2014-2015 Season

TDW_VERTThe Drama Workshop is scheduling director interviews for the 2014 – 2015 season. We will produce a season consisting of 4-5 shows in the new Glenmore Playhouse beginning in the fall of 2014.

TDW has a list of 15 plays that are under consideration by the TDW board for the 2014 – 2015 season. We encourage potential directors to read any or all of the plays under consideration. To obtain the list of plays contact Gretchen Gantner (contact info below). It is not necessary to read all of the plays to apply for a directorship.

***This year we are asking our director candidates to pitch one additional “wild card” show of your choosing, suitable for attracting a wide audience in our theater space. These can be a holiday show, musical, comedy, drama, children’s show etc, but should be of a big-draw, widely known caliber. ***

We are asking that interested potential directors attend a scheduled interview at The Glenmore Playhouse.

High School Musical Theater Performance Director Needed

MISC_DirectorTwo shows were scheduled for the school year 2013-2014. The teacher who would have directed these shows has become unavailable. If a director can be found, then the shows must go on! Show selection will be suitable for a high school community. Performance dates are to be determined approximately in early winter 2013 and late spring 2014.
