IATC Seeks Actress for THO IT WERE TEN THOUSAND MILES
Irish American Theatre Company is currently casting a female major role, playing a grad student – this part is suitable for a strong talent.
This is a new play “Tho it were Ten Thousand Miles,” written by William HA Williams – The US premiere.
The show should is slated for opening Feb 2014 locally and again in Mid-May 16 & 17 as a pick up.
Actress selected must be willing to travel to Boca Raton Florida for a performance at the Acting Irish International Theater Festival May 22-24. Theater Company will provide 3 nights in Florida, entry to all Acting Irish International Plays and arrange transportation.
Auditions will be on the 2nd Wednesday 11th of December staring at 6:30 PM.
Auditioning at the Irish Heritage Center 3905 Eastern Ave, Cincinnati 45226. Times will be scheduled by call ins from talent, open call follows.

UCT Seek Music and Vocal Directors for The Who’s TOMMY
UNION COMMUNITY THEATRE is seeking a musical director and vocal director for their spring production of “The Who’s, Tommy The Musical.”
Duties include teaching the cast the vocal parts in the show as well as conducting a small band for the March-April performances.
This is a paid position with a stipend. Rehearsals begin in late January and the show opens last weekend of March and first weekend of April- March 27, 28, 29, 30, Apr 2, 3, 4, 5.

trueTHEATRE Seeks Stories for trueVACATION
Right about now, we could use a vacation, huh? Be careful what you wish for! Remember that time when…? Have you ever thought about sharing the stories of your favorite, craziest, worst, or most awkward vacations with an audience?
True Theatre is producing trueVACATION, which will run for one night only on Monday, January 13 at the Know Theatre in downtown Cincinnati. They are now making appointments with people to hear their true, personal, VACATION-related stories for possible inclusion in the show.
Appointments will be for Saturday, November 23 or by arrangement.
If you have a story you would like True Theatre to consider for this show, reach out to them at truetheatre.com/contact.html or by writing stories@truetheatre.com. They will work with you to set an appointment and provide directions.
On the night of the show, stories will be expected to fit into a 10-15 minute time window and be told without notes. For the initial appointment, it is hoped, but not mandatory, that candidates can come close to these constraints. Unique approaches to the theme are welcome. Stories may be funny or serious. All stories are welcome for consideration!
Of the stories submitted, True Theatre will select five (5) for the show which fit the theme, have a good structure, and which balance nicely against the other stories selected.
If your story is selected for the show, you will be expected to work with True Theatre to find time to participate in 1 – 3 rehearsals (as needed) and then participate in the show.

Playhouse Seeks Props Artisan
The Tony Award winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is accepting applications for the position of props artisan. The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude and a broad range of skills including but not limited to:
- Computer graphics
- Casting
- Welding
- Electrical wiring
- Mechanical fabrication
- Sculpting
- Carpentry
- Sewing
The ability to elegantly solve complex problems under changing deadlines is essential. Familiarity with period style, organizational and time management proficiency, and a desire to expand one’s knowledge base are critical. Essential functions include the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, the ability to work while on a ladder, and the ability to drive a van and small truck. Candidates must have a current driver’s license and a clean driving record. Minimum four years professional experience required. College degree in theatre a definite plus.
This is a full-time seasonal position and is represented by IATSE Local 5. Current IATSE membership is not a prerequisite. Benefits include health insurance and paid vacation.
