Cast and Tech Call for SPACE BETWEEN MY HEAD AND MY BODY

“The Space Between my Head and my Body”
Casting and Tech personnel needed

SEM_logoFresh, new theatre company, Shark Eat Muffin, celebrates their second performance this season with the much anticipated US premier of Catie O’Keefe’s play, The Space Between my Head and my Body directed by Laura Boggs. SPACE will be performed as part of the 2013 Cincinnati Fringe Festival.

Show Description: The Space Between my Head and my Body explores the lives of seven people whose paths collide in flight on an airplane. In the unquantifiable space between departure and arrival, male and female, physical body and identity, we examine what defines each one of them. As the characters weave in and out of different times and spaces, different flights and even different bodies, they remain connected by the same journey. A journey that is forever pushing forward towards the fate of the passengers, their relationship to one another and their own survival in a sea of lost travellers.

The show was produced at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland and was published in 2010 by Original Works Publishing.

FT Auditions FLOYD COLLINS

FT_logoFalcon Theater will hold auditions for a summer production of the musical FLOYD COLLINS, written by Adam Guettel and Tina Landau.

In 1925, while chasing a dream of fame and fortune by turning a Kentucky cave into a tourist attraction, Floyd Collins himself became the attraction when he got trapped 200 feet underground. Alone but for sporadic contact with the outside world, Floyd fought for his sanity and ultimately his life as the rescue effort above exploded into the first genuine media circus. Reporters and gawkers …from across the country descended on the property, fueling the hysteria and manipulating the nation into holding its collective breath. This haunting musical – one of the most acclaimed in recent years – tells the transcendent tale of a true American dreamer.

An additional night of auditions have been scheduled for Tue, May 21 at 7pm at the Monmouth Theatre.

Parts available for 11 men and 2 women. Please prepare a musical selection that best shows your vocal range, as well as a monologue – both not to exceed 2 minutes.

We are also welcoming applications and resumes for designers. Looking to talk with scenic, lighting and sound designers interested in working on this project.

Performances planned for August 16-25, 2013 at the Monmouth Theatre in Newport, KY.

Presented by Falcon Theatre/4th Wall Productions.
Directed by Mark Femia
Music Direction by Steve Goers
