It is the CMC’s 30th, XXX, Pearl Anniversary Season! So much of our lives, such as school, work, social and entertainment activities, have gone virtual due to the pandemic. The CMC will also be going virtual for at least the first half of our season. We’re eXcited to use the virtual platform to eXpand our membership and audience to those outside our area, while continuing our mission – “Through our music, we strive for eXcellence;… entertain our audiences; and work for justice, inclusion and harmony between the LGBTQ community and the community at large.”
We look forward to bringing you an eXceedingly eXhilarating eXperience, 30 years in the making. We hope you will join us virtually until such time as we can all be together in person to commemorate three decades of music by the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus.

The Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus has been continuously monitoring the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been reviewing the state updates and guidelines, along with information provided by various choruses, organizations and experts as well as attending webinars that relate to organizations like ours rehearsing and performing during the COVID crisis.
We had hoped to return in mid-June to prepare for a combination of our cancelled Spring Concert and our June/Pride Concert God Save the Dancing Queens to be performed late August. At this moment, while the overall conditions have improved, public orders currently prevent our singers and artistic staff from safely assembling to prepare for and perform this concert.
The health and safety of our singers, staff, and audience are of the utmost importance. With the uncertainty surrounding the resumption of public gatherings, it is with a heavy heart that the Board of the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus has decided to cancel the remainder of the season.
While we will not be able to perform live, we will be producing content to commemorate Pride month and to continue our mission to support and nurture our members; entertain our audiences; and work for justice, inclusion and harmony between the LGBTQ+ community and the community at large. Please be sure to visit our website and follow us on Facebook to keep up with the latest news and exciting content and updates on our upcoming 30th anniversary season.
As the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus has been continuously monitoring the COVID-19 virus, listening to and adhering to State regulations and Federal health professionals, we have made the extremely difficult decision to cancel our Spring concert, GOD SAVE THE QUEENS that was scheduled for April 4th and 5th. We will be waiting for Federal and State officials to give us the all clear to make any determination on this and future concerts. We love to see you and sing for you but your and our collective health is paramount.
If you are a ticket holder, you will shortly be receiving a separate communication from the CMC Box Office with more information about your tickets and refunds. We appreciate your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.
We ask you to please take care of yourselves and others. Please follow CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of this virus and seek information from knowledgeable and trusted sources. We hope to reschedule and sing for you as soon as it is deemed prudent.
