Auditions Announced for THE COVER OF LIFE at Mason Community Players

The Cover of Life is the second show of Mason Players’ 2027 Season. The production is being directed by Gail Rudolph, produced by Mary Stan Fizer, and stage managed by Melodie LaNicca and will be presented April 23 through May 1, 2027.

The show, written by R.T. Robinson, is set in rural Louisiana in 1943 and follows three young brides – Tood, Weetsie, and Sybill – each married to a Cliffert brother. With their husbands away at war, the women live under the care of their mother-in-law, Ola, navigating the challenges of domestic life and societal expectations. A local news story about their resilience catches the attention of Life Magazine publisher Henry Luce, who sends war correspondent Kate Miller to cover their story for the magazine’s cover.
