Auditions Announced for MY WAY and SISTER ACT at the Covedale Center

CCPACincinnati Landmark Productions to hold auditions for two Covedale Marquee season shows:

MY WAY: A Tribute to the Music of Frank Sinatra and SISTER ACT

Open Audition dates/times:

  • Saturday, May 21, 2022 1pm to 3:30pm
  • Sunday, May 22, 2022 1pm to 3:30 pm

Callbacks:

  • Monday, May 23, 2022 6:00pm to 8:00pm (My Way)
  • Monday, May 23, 2022 8:00pm to 10:00pm (Sister Act)

Important Audition Information!

MY WAY

  • You may be asked to read from the script.
  • Please prepare a song to sing for 32 measures in musical theatre style.
  • You will be taught a dance combination as well.
  • Must be a minimum of 25 years of age to audition.
  • MUST HAVE A RESUME listing theatrical experience in order to audition.
  • A headshot/picture is appreciated. Please bring a headshot and resume.
  • CLP is actively seeking a diverse cast. Performers of all races and ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities and abilities are especially encouraged to audition and will be considered for all roles

SISTER ACT

  • You will read from the script.
  • Please prepare a song to sing for 32 measures in musical theatre style.
  • You will be taught a dance combination as well.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to audition.
  • MUST HAVE A RESUME listing theatrical experience in order to audition.

Since its premiere at the Tennessee Repertory Theatre in 2000, My Way: A Tribute to the Music of Frank Sinatra continues to be one of the most popular musical reviews in musical theatre history. Audiences and critics alike have hailed its powerful music, superb arrangements, classy style, and easy-going comedy. Containing 55 incredible songs from the Great American Songbook, My Way celebrates the mystique of Frank Sinatra and the unforgettable music that made him famous.

Based on the Touchstone Pictures Motion Picture, Sister Act, written by Joseph Howard.

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship and is a reason to REJOICE!

Part-Time House Staff Position Available at Cincinnati Landmark Productions

CLPCincinnati Landmark Productions is seeking a part-time staff member for The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, The Warsaw Federal Incline Theater and The Madcap Education Center.

Part-Time House Staff Position

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a self-starter, dependable, and have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment at The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, The Warsaw Federal Incline Theatre and The Madcap Education Center.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age, have high school diploma or equivalency. Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Description: House management duties, Will Call, general customer service, work as parking assistant, concessions/bar and run a follow spot and show prep.

Hours for position vary. Mostly evenings during performances. Sunday performances are at 2pm. Must be available weekends too.

Hourly Rate: $12.00

    Due to circumstances caused by the inclement weather, we have cancelled the FRI FEB 4, 7:30PM performance of the Music of John Williams. The Friday performance will not be rescheduled.
    The SAT, FEB 5 and SUN, FEB 6 performances will proceed as planned.
    The livestream of the concert, originally scheduled for Saturday night, will now take place on SUN, FEB 6 at 2PM EST.
    All ticketholders for the Friday performance of the concert have the option to exchange into another CSO or Pops performance this season. (Exchange fees will be waived; additional charges may apply based on concert choice). Ticketholders may donate the value of their tickets and receive a tax acknowledgement. Ticketholders also have the option of returning their tickets for a gift certificate, account credit or full refund.
