DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS Cancelled at Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre

GHCT_logoFriday, March 20, 2020

To our Members, Volunteers, Audience Members, and Supporters:

Throughout our 61 years, the safety of our volunteers and audience members still remains of the utmost importance. As we have all been experiencing, the COVID-19 Virus is taking its toll across the world. In order to comply with the Governor’s Orders and to keep our organization safe, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the final production of our season, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, which was scheduled to play April 30-May 2, 2020.

The cast, crew, and creative team were working extremely hard to bring this show to life and we applaud them for dedicating their time and effort towards our organization. We also wish to thank Mark & Teresa Durbin for sponsoring this production.

Season Ticket Holders will be contacted regarding their subscriptions in the upcoming weeks.

The Arts are important, especially live theater. It makes us laugh, it makes us cry, and it shows us that life is what we make it. This especially rings true as we navigate these difficult times. One thing is for certain though: the curtain will rise again, and when it does, we will be back and ready to entertain.

Theatrically yours,
Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre Board of Directors

BOOK OF WILL Cancelled at Cincinnati Shakespeare Company

CSC_logoDear Patron,

It is with a continued heavy heart that we must notify you that all remaining productions in the 2019-2020 Season have now been cancelled, including THE BOOK OF WILL.  We previously announced the cancellations of “Pride and Prejudice” and “Hamlet”.  This is in response to the Governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine’s order that all mass gatherings be cancelled.  This week it has been further stated by government officials that even groups as small as 10 should avoid being in the same space.  This became immediately problematic for a collaborative art form such as ours in theatre to continue with rehearsals and production builds so we have made the decision to cancel the remaining performances this season.

We have also heard from many of our patrons, asking the question “How can I help?”
Thank you for asking!  There are several ways to lend your support right now:

  1. Make a donation to our COVID19 Closure Fund online at the button below. Please consider making a donation to protect our ability to create powerful and engaging theatre long after this period of uncertainty passes. While our performances, workshops, classes, and events cannot go on for now, the lives and livelihoods of those who make the art you love must. Your philanthropic support ensures that when this crisis ends – and it will – Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will still be right here waiting for you with open arms. Click here to DONATE.
  2. Buy a 2020-2021 Season Subscription TODAY online at the button below. We are looking ahead to the next season and are very excited about the return to our stage.  By subscribing today for next season, you are lending your support for our future early and helping to stabilize our revenue.  All discounted Early Bird prices have been continued and the on sale date for Single Tickets has been pushed back so now is the perfect chance to get your tickets at the best prices and start looking ahead to better days!  Having your commitment as a subscriber today helps to ensure our future stability. Click here to SUBSCRIBE.
  3. Give a CSC Gift Certificate online at the button below. Buying a Gift Certificate today for yourself or someone you love is a great way to show your support for the future of CSC.  And, of course, you can use that gift certificate on any future production! Click here for GIFT CERTIFICATES.

Once we know more, we will reach out to our patrons with updates and information first.  Your patience and understanding right now is so greatly appreciated as we all do our part to ensure the safety of our company, community, and country.

Remember we are all in this together. Thank you and stay safe and healthy, Brian Isaac Phillips, Producing Artistic Director.

For the safety of our staff, the Box Office is running with a very limited crew working remotely.  We respectfully ask that you hold off on requests other than the ones listed above for now. As soon as we have more information, we will reach out to everyone with next steps. Thank you for your support and patience during this extraordinary time.

THE ART OF DINING at Mariemont Players Cancelled due to COVID-19

MPI_logo 2020Dear MPI Community,

As we continue to learn more about the COVID-19 health crisis, and public health officials forecast the coming months, the Mariemont Players board of directors has made the very difficult decision to cancel our May production of The Art of Dining.

As you know, there is currently a ban on gatherings of more than 100 people in the state of Ohio, and at this time, we don’t know when it will be lifted. Also, the CDC has recommended that organizations do not hold gatherings of more than 50 people for the next 8 weeks, which takes us into the middle of the run for The Art of Dining. This creates a significant amount of uncertainty and we refuse to risk the safety of our patrons, cast, and crew.

In this difficult time, many arts organizations are having to cancel their productions in the best interest of public health and safety. If you have tickets to a live performing arts event which is canceled due to COVID-19, please consider donating your ticket to the organization.

If you would like a refund for your tickets, we are more than happy to issue one. Please contact the box office at 513-684-1236 or email us at waltoncreektheater@gmail.com, if you would like a refund. As it is tax season, our accountant is extremely busy, so we do ask that patrons requesting refunds allow us reasonable time to process each refund.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and we fully intend to be back on stage as soon as our public health officials declare it is safe to do so. Keep an eye on mariemontplayers.com, as well as our Facebook page, for updates.

Thank you for your continued and valued support of Mariemont Players. We look forward to seeing you at the theater as soon as possible.

Regards,
Patrick Kramer
President, MPI Board of Directors

THE REVOLUTIONISTS Cancelled at Human Race Theatre Company

HRTC_new logoTo our Human Race family,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce today that due to the ever evolving circumstances in our town and country, The Human Race Theatre Company will be canceling our upcoming production of THE REVOLUTIONISTS. As we did with the final four performances of GLORIA: A LIFE, we are making this decision in the best interest of our patrons, artists, staff and community.

Ticket holders to all canceled performances have several options. You may choose to donate your purchase as a charitable gift to The Human Race Theatre Company. All non-profits are feeling the impact of these closures and your contribution is greatly appreciated. We are doing our best to keep our staff fully employed during this time. You also have the option to exchange your ticket for the remaining production in this season – LOOPED which should prove a riotous relief from our confinement in June! If you have not renewed your subscription for the 2020-2021 Season, you may ask for the price of your tickets to be credited toward your renewal or purchase of a new one. Your tickets may also be credited to your account for future use.

Please contact Dayton Live to confirm what you’d like to do with your tickets.

As we all hunker down and find new ways to stay engaged, we ask that you keep an eye out on our website and Facebook page. We are currently planning some super fun live streaming and pay-per-view specials that you can enjoy in the comfort of your own home. These may include our Meet & Greet, our April Monday Night Play Reading and THE MILF ALSO RISES (if we are still quarantined on the rescheduled dates in May!) Stay tuned for more info!

To make any changes or donations, the Dayton Live Ticket Office can also be reached at 937-228-3630. They are there to help Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

We wish you health and well-being and hope to see you at The Human Race Theatre again soon!

Best,
Kappy Kilburn, Executive Director
Kevin Moore, Artistic Director

ANNIE GET YOUR GUN Postponed at Footlighters

fli_logoA message from the Footlighters, Inc. Board of Directors:

Friends and Patrons,

The top priority of our organization is the health and well-being of the community and our theatre family. In response to the COVID-19 virus, we have made the very difficult decision to POSTPONE our production of ANNIE GET YOUR GUN that was due to open in April 2020.

At this time, we are working through next steps, including potential new dates for the show. As soon as these details have been finalized, we will provide an update to our valued patrons and supporters.

If you have already purchased tickets for the show you can either request a refund for the price of the ticket or consider converting your ticket into a tax-deductible donation to support our current efforts to correct our failed boiler issue.

Should you desire to be refunded for your ticket, your options are as follows:

  • Tickets purchased online from our website will be processed as a credit to the purchaser’s credit card.
  • Tickets purchased by cash or check will be issued via check.

All requests for refunds should be directed via email to footlighters.ky@gmail.com.  We ask that any refunds be requested and received no later than April 30, 2020.  While we will work as quickly as possible to process requests, please allow up to 30 days for your request to be fulfilled.

While this unfortunate situation has impacted all of us, our mission remains:

To create an entertaining and enjoyable theatre experience of the highest caliber for our patrons and foster a creative and supportive environment for our performers, technical staff, and local artists. We remain a true contributor to the vibrancy of our neighborhood, and we are a destination for patrons who wish to be entertained and enlightened by our performances. We are, and continue to be, an all-volunteer run and supported organization.

Please consider donating your ticket purchase back to Footlighters, in order to support our ongoing efforts to maintain our beautiful facility and to continue providing the highest-quality theatre to our community.  We are grateful to you for your continued support of the arts and of Footlighters, especially during these most challenging times, and we look forward to seeing you again soon at the Stained Glass Theatre.
