Auditions Announced for THE TRIAL OF THE BIG BAD WOLF at Sunset Players

SSP_logoCINCINNATI, OH – September 19, 2018 — Sunset Players will hold open auditions for its children’s show The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf by Joseph Robinette and directed by Bob Kelley on Sunday, September 30 and Monday, October 1 at 6:30 pm at The Art Center at Dunham at 1945 Dunham Way, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

Was the Wolf a villain or victim? Were the Three Pigs innocent or at fault? The nursery and fairytale character jurors and Judge Wise O. Al will decide in this fun-filled, action-packed trial-of-the-century.

The children’s show at Sunset Players is a great way for children or adults with little to no acting experience to gain some experience performing live theater. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Actors must be able to read. Auditions will consist of reading selections from the script.

The cast consists of 16 roles. Crew members and set builders are also needed.

Performances are November 30, and December 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9. Friday night performances are at 7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm.

TARZAN The Musical Comes to the ROYAL Theatre Company Stage October 12-14

ROYAL Theatre Company, Home of The Children’s Theatre of Mason, is proud to present Tarzan The Musical October 12-14 at Mason High School. Based on Disney’s epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burrough’s Tarzan of the ApesTarzan features heart-pumping music by rock legend, Phil Collins, and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright, David Henry Hwang. High-flying excitement and hits, like the Academy Award winning “You’ll Be in My Heart,” as well as “Son of Man” and “Two Worlds,” make Tarzan an unforgettable theatrical experience.

The show will run for four performances – Friday, October 12th at 7:00pm; Saturday, October 13th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm; and Sunday, October 14th at 2:00pm. VIP reserved seating tickets can be purchased for any show for $25 each, and general admission tickets for any show are $12 each.  All tickets can be purchased online at www.ROYALTheatreCompany.com through October 12th at 5pm and at the door starting one hour before each show.

Washed up on the shores of West Africa, an infant boy is taken in and raised by gorillas who name him Tarzan. Apart from striving for acceptance from his ape father, Tarzan’s life is mostly monkey business until a human expedition treks into his tribe’s territory, and he encounters creatures like himself for the first time. Tarzan struggles to navigate a jungle, thick with emotion, as he discovers his animal upbringing clashing with his human instincts.

Young Actors, Adults and Stage Managers Sought for A CHRISTMAS STORY: The Musical at Ghostlight Theatricals

PROJECT SEEKS YOUNG ACTORS FOR STARRING ROLES AS WELL AS SELECT ADULT ROLES AND STAGE MANAGERS

Ghostlight Theatricals in association with Rising Star Resort & Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana is accepting submissions from performers and stage managers for “A Christmas Story: The Musical” at gltheatricals@gmail.com. Submissions should include a photo and resume and any video links available. All positions are paid and call backs will be through video submission.

“A Christmas Story: The Musical” is a professional dinner theatre production at the Grand Theatre at Rising Star Resort & Casino. There are principal roles, including Ralphie, Randy and Scut Farcus available for young actors who can play ages 8-12 and adult roles for one male ensemble member as well as the principal role of Miss Shields. All other roles are cast.

All contracts will include a weekly salary as well as dining vouchers. There are stage management and technical crew positions available as well. Rehearsals begin in mid-October with weekly dance classes for young actors and daily rehearsals beginning for everyone October 29.

Performances are Thursday-Sunday November 15-December 28, 2018. Rising Sun is located 45-minutes from Cincinnati just across the river on Highway 56.

This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination. Performed by KRT Teens!
