THE OLD MAN AND THE OLD MOON
Mason High School Theater
Oct. 16-24
MHS Black Box Theater
For as long as anyone can recall, the Old Man’s sole duty has been to fill the leaking moon with liquid light. But when his wife is drawn away by a mysterious song, he must abandon his post to cross the globe and find her. Along the way, he encounters chaotic sailors, apocalyptic storms, giant sea monsters, and a world falling into darkness without its moon. Told through rich folk music, creative shadow puppetry, and vibrant ensemble storytelling, The Old Man and the Old Moon is a breathtaking adventure about memory, love, and the enduring power of a good story.
