TDW Seeks Actor for TALLEY AND SON

The Drama Workshop is holding auditions for one role for its upcoming production of TALLEY AND SON. opening March 2 and closing March 10, Rehearsals will be held 4 times a week during January and February, with blocking in December. All rehearsals to be held at Mercy Hospital Western Hills Fitness Center and the Hospital.

Role available is that of “Kenneth ‘Buddy’ Talley,” playing age of 31. Audition at Mercy Hospital Western Hills Fitness Center Rm A, 3131 Queen City, on Sunday, November 13 from 2-5pm. Playhouse Hosting A CHRISTMAS CAROL Singing Contest For High School Theater and Choral Groups

Attention all high school drama teachers, choral teachers, and students:

Ring in, or should we say “sing in” the holidays with U.S. Bank and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park!

Your high school theater or choral group is invited to participate in our facebook “A Christmas Carol” singing contest.

Nothing says holiday tradition like the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and this year U.S. Bank is proud to be the presenting sponsor. To celebrate our sponsorship of this holiday classic, we are hosting A Christmas Carol singing contest for all local high school theater and choral groups.

To participate, all you need to do is videotape your theater or choral group singing their favorite holiday song and upload it to our facebook.com/usbank site between November 1-13, 2011. Person submitting/uploading your entry must have a Facebook account to submit content. All entries will be available as soon as they are reviewed and approved. Voting for your favorite video will be available November 14-20, so be sure to tell your friends and family to visit our facebook page and vote for your video.

Winners of the contest will be notified November 21 and be our guest to see the final dress rehearsal of A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Playhouse in the Park on Tuesday, November 29. As an added bonus, U.S. Bank will make a donation to your school arts program for up to $1,000! Actor Needed for Staged Reading

LIFE AFTER GOD, the next CPI New Voices presentation, is looking for a male actor to step in to the role of Mark. A description is below. Looking for someone who fits the description, though would be willing to work with someone who isn’t a “perfect” match. As this is a staged reading, there is little memorization and only a couple of rehearsals to learn some basic blocking. The performance is Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 PM. Mark – age: 28-35. Healthy and strong, Mark is described as having “Chippendale-like” good looks. A broker in a large firm, he is also dealing with having tested HIV positive.

Needed: Guitarist and Cellist for HAIRSPRAY Orchestra

Cincinnati Music Theatre is looking for a guitar player and a cellist for its upcoming production of HAIRSPRAY, which runs November 4-12, 2011 at the Jarson-Kaplan Theatre at the Aronoff Center in downtown Cincinnati.

HAIRSPRAY has a bright, upbeat score and will be a lot of fun to play. Director Skip Fenker has assembled a great cast and staff for the production, which was listed as one of this fall’s “must-see list” shows by CityBeat’s Rick Pender.

CMT Seeks Directors for 2012-2013 Season

Cincinnati Music Theatre is in search of qualified directors for the 2012-2013 season.

Established in 1963, Cincinnati Music Theatre has a long and proud history of presenting popular, large scale, award-winning musicals to enthusiastic audiences from across the Greater Cincinnati area. An all-volunteer group, CMT presents two large- or medium-scale musicals each season, performing in the Jarson-Kaplan Theatre at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
