Typical tasks may include but are not limited to: teaching acting classes, developing and planning curriculum, creating and supervising workshops and school residencies, interviewing and evaluating instructors and outreach staff; coordinating in-school tours; assisting with season selection and auditions; directing plays/musicals. Duties are determined and performed under the direction of the Theater Manager. Undergraduate degree in Theatre required. Degrees in Acting and/or Theatre Education and professional paid experience preferred. Part-time afternoon/evening and weekend hours. 20+ hrs per wk. Salary Range: $16.07/hr. Acting Up Announces Auditions for SEUSSICAL
Acting Up, the young performer’s community theater based in Mason, OH, is holding open auditions for SEUSSICAL.
Who: any actors ages 6-18 years old
When: Wed. May 23 from 6:30-8:30; or Fri. May 25 from 6:00-9:00
Where: Mason Intermediate School 4/5 Cafeteria, 6703 Mason-Montgomery Rd, Mason OH 45040
How: Please prepare a monologue and song, together not more than 2 minutes in length. You can sing with a CD (with no lyrics) or acappella. We will not have an accompanist. Bring an audition form found on the website (www.ActingUp.com) and a recent photo. Dress comfortably and be prepared to dance.
What: Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, lazy Mazie and a little boy with a big imagination–Jojo.
