Performers Needed for Sketch Show at The Company Presents

TCO_logoThe Company is getting ready for their next sketch show: March Madness (*not basketball), directed by Mr. Brandon Dunphy, presented March 24th.

We’ve got the sketches written — now we need actors to come be funny! We’ll be having open auditions for the show next Thursday, March 2nd, 6:30-8:30 in the meeting room at the Madeira Public Library (7200 Miami Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45243).

TCTC is Seeking Theatre Professionals with Summer Contracts for the Showtime Series at Red Bank!

TCTC_new logoThe Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT), the country’s oldest professional theater for young audiences, is excited to showcase its new destination for theater education and expand its reach into the community. The Ralph and Patricia Corbett Showtime Stage is a small 152-seat performance space housed in the company’s new facility on Red Bank Road in Cincinnati, OH.

This new theatrical facility gives TCT the opportunity to program for new audiences, including preschoolers as well as middle and high school students. Thus, beginning the creation of future arts patrons in Cincinnati at an even earlier age, and extending their engagement through high school.

The premiere production of the Showtime Series at Red Bank is:

Dr. Seuss’s THE CAT IN THE HAT
June 2-July 9, 2017 – Fridays through Sundays only.

Based on the book by Dr. Seuss. Play originally produced by the National Theatre of Great

Everyone’s favorite cat comes to mischievous life in this theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat that they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and the craziest of ideas, he is certainly loads of fun. He turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure… but what will mum find when she gets home…?

Two Actors Needed for DOLLHOUSE at Mariemont Players

MPI_logoMariemont Players is still looking for two actors for our production of DOLLHOUSE by Theresa Rebeck:

  • Adult, African-American woman
  • Boy, 8-12

    Both roles are small parts and would be great for theater newcomers or someone who doesn’t want a huge rehearsal commitment. If you know someone who fits those descriptions and has always wanted to be onstage, encourage them to contact director Dan Maloney at maloneykd@gmail.com

Synopsis
Set in suburban Connecticut, Nora and her husband Evan are living in blissful idealism until an “old business” partner reappears in Nora’s life. The tension then mounts as Nora struggles to find what lies ahead in an uncertain future.

Stage Manager Needed for OUTSIDE MULLINGER at Irish Heritage Center

IATC_logoIrish Heritage Center is looking for a Stage Manager for their production of OUTSIDE MULLINGER. There is a stipend available. This production will begin rehearsal in mid March and perform The last two weekends of April. The director is Karen O’Brien.

Additionally, this production will perform at the Acting Irish International Theater Festival in Rochester, NY on May 12th at the 2PM time-slot. The SM is not required to attend this, but should s/he decide to do so, the Acting Irish International Theater Festival and the IATC (which is the Irish American Theater Company) will pay for the room (multi occupancy), and the gas (carpooling possible) and Festival admittance.
