Cast Announced for CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at Showbiz Players

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH is a new Broadway musical featuring music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa  and  book by esteemed screenwriter John August.

Cincinnati Music Theatre’s regional premiere of BIG FISH is being produced by Catherine Fields Shultz and Kathy Beiting and directed by Skip Fenker, with choreography by Mike Fielder, musical direction by Charlie Wilhelm and vocal direction by Kendra Struthers.

BIG FISH, A New Musical, opens at the Jarson-Kaplan Theater at the Aronoff Center for the Arts on Friday, May 6 and runs through Saturday, May 14. Tickets are available now at www.cincinnatiarts.org and http://www.cincinnatimusictheatre.org.

Written in 1965 this is a parable disguised as a comic allegory about the class system in England. It depicts the conflict between Sir, a portentous individual who is always on the winning side, and Cocky, a meek partner and Sir’s foil, who always seems to be on the losing end of the “game” the two incessantly play. Who Can I Turn To, A Wonderful Day Like Today, The Joker, and Where Would You Be Without Me. Understandably nominated for a Tony Award for Best Original Score.

From writer Lucille Fletcher, who wrote radio scripts for such luminaries as Orson Welles and Vincent Price, comes this fast-paced suspense-filled drama.
