Beloved and beautiful, Bianca has everything a girl could want—except a husband. Unfortunately for her, Bianca’s overbearing parents prevent her happily-ever-after because her headstrong, ahead-of-her-times sister, Katherine, refuses to get married first. To convince her otherwise, Bianca’s suitors enlist the help of money-hungry Petruchio to woo her sister under the promise of a hefty dowry. But Katherine’s feminist hijinks result in a series of hilarious attempts to tame the “shrew” in this unexpected reimagining.

EVERY BRILLIANT THING Takes the Stage at Falcon Theatre

FT_Every Brilliant ThingMENTAL HEALTH AS YOU’VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE
EVERY BRILLIANT THING by DUNCAN MACMILLAN with JONNY DONAHOE
TAKES THE STAGE AT FALCON THEATRE

“[A] heart-wrenching, hilarious play…One of the funniest plays you’ll ever see about depression—and possibly one of the funniest plays you’ll ever see, full stop…There is something tough being confronted here—the guilt of not being able to make those we love happy—and it is explored with unflinching honesty.” —The Guardian (UK)

PRODUCTION RUNS MARCH 17 THROUGH APRIL 1, 2023

(Newport, KY) — Falcon Theatre continues their successful 2022-23 season with the phenomenal, Every Brilliant Thing.

Every Brilliant Thing deftly balances humor, sincerity and sensitivity to create a unique night of theater.  This is a story told by one actor about a list she started when she was seven years old. The list of “every brilliant thing” in the world begins as a reaction to her mother’s mental health and grows throughout the production into a throughline for her life and her own struggles with mental health. The end result is beautifully captivating, eye-wateringly funny and completely unforgettable.

This joyfully touching production is directed by Tracy M. Schoster and features Eileen Earnest as the solo performer.

Performances are March 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 31 & April 1, 2023. All performances at 8:00 PM. Ticket prices are $28 for adults and $15 for students with valid ID. Visit falcontheater.net for details and to reserve your seats.
