CINCINNATI, OH – Due to the recent developments and concerns surrounding COVID-19, and out of an abundance of caution, the producers of The Price is Right Live have rescheduled the show for Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 4:00 PM & 8:00 PM at the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall. According to the producers, “we are prioritizing the health and well-being of our production crew, hosts, and guests, and appreciate your understanding during this unique time.”

Current ticket holders will be sent new tickets with the corresponding rescheduled date and time. The new tickets will be sent the week of May 18, 2020.

Ticket holders who are unable to attend their rescheduled performance may contact the Aronoff Center Ticket Office prior to May 15 for refund information at (513) 621-2787 (Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM) or ticketing@cincinnatiarts.org.

Tickets are on sale now at www.CincinnatiArts.org and (513) 621-ARTS [2787] for the rescheduled performances on August 29. 

Please note that the Aronoff Center Ticket Office will be closed for walk-up business until further notice for the health and safety of our guests, staff, artists, and volunteers.

CINCINNATI:  When The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s world-premiere adaptation of CASPER THE FRIENDLY MUSICAL flies into the Taft Theatre, patrons will get to celebrate the ghostly season a little bit early.

Children (and adults) are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, and international confectionery company, Perfetti Van Melle, will provide their signature, locally-made AirHeads for everyone after the show.

The celebration, October 12-October 21, 2019, kicks off TCT’s 100th birthday season.

Also, this weekend, performances of CASPER THE FRIENDLY MUSICAL coincide with BLINK, one of the largest light, art and projection mapping events in the nation.  Returning October 10-13, 2019, this free four-day event takes place in downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, spanning more than 30 city blocks and crossing the historic John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge over the Ohio River. BLINK will turn the region into an outdoor art museum with large-scale projection mapping installations, murals, and immersive art. Hours run from 7pm-11pm each night.

School performances of CASPER THE FRIENDLY MUSICAL will be held October 15-18 and October 21, 2019 during the daytime hours.

The sensory-friendly performance of CASPER THE FRIENDLY MUSICAL on October 16 is intended for individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as children (and adults) with other special needs who may benefit.  To create a sensory-friendly performance, the show is performed in a welcoming, supportive environment for those with sensory challenges.  Slight adjustments to lighting and sound are made and effects such as fog, strobes, and lights that extend into the audience are minimalized.  A downloadable Social Narrative (in Word format) is made available on the TCT website one week before the performance.  At the theater, TCT provides an area staffed by specialists in the field where patrons can take a break from the performance if necessary, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center has trained staff on hand.

Auditions Announced for SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN at Cincinnati Music Theatre

Known as the “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time”, each unforgettable scene, song and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN, and is complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals.

AUDITION DATES: Sunday, Oct. 20 and Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 7 to 10 p.m. Callbacks will take place at Clifton United Methodist Church on Thursday, Oct. 24.

ABOUT AUDITIONS: Please reserve your audition time on SignUp Genius (link provided below). Please print and fill out the audition form prior to your audition. Walk-ins are welcome and will be seen in the next available slot.

You will be escorted into the audition room in groups of up to 8 participants. You will sing your prepared song and possibly do some vocalizing. The director may ask you a few brief questions and you may be asked to read from the script. As part of a small group, you will then work with the choreographer to learn a dance combination, which will include a small tap combination.

PLEASE PREPARE & PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING FOR YOUR AUDITION: 

  • 16-32 bars of a Broadway-style song that showcases your vocal range
  • Sheet music in the proper key with cuts marked. An accompanist will be provided (no CD’s, tapes or a cappella numbers).
  • A copy of your resume and headshot.
