Box Office/Ticket Agent Sought by Cincinnati Landmark Productions

CLPCincinnati Landmark Productions is seeking a part-time Box Office/Ticket Agent

Job: Part-Time Box Office/Ticket Agent
Location: The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Ave. 45238
Purpose: To generate income through ticket sales and positively promote Cincinnati Landmark Productions. To be part of a customer facing team, providing a friendly and helpful welcome on behalf of the company.

Job Requirements:

  • Operate and efficiently assist on any ticketing sales.
  • Answer calls.
  • Ensure a thorough knowledge of events at CLP to enable the Box Office to give the best possible customer service.
  • Actively pursue an in-depth knowledge of Provenue
  • Ensure the ticketing systems records are maintained and accurate.
  • Contribute to ensuring information is up-to-date and well organized.
  • Support the administrational needs management within reason.
  • Be responsible cash, checks and card transactions made by the Box Office
  • Manage the Usher schedule via Sign Up Genius

Must be a self-starter, dependable, and have excellent communication and customer service skills. Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment.

May be asked to work at another location from time to time including: The Warsaw Federal Incline Theatre and the Madcap Education Center.

Must be at least 21 years of age, have high school diploma or equivalency, some college preferred. Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Occasionally this position will work an evening or matinee performance.

Customary Hours: 11am to 5 pm Monday – Friday
Pay rate: $11.00 an hour

Auditions Announced for FOOTLOOSE the Musical at La Comedia Dinner Theatre

LAC_logoLa Comedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio, is holding auditions for its upcoming production of FOOTLOOSE on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 10:00 A.M., at 765 W. Central Ave., Springboro, Ohio.

SEEKING:

  • REN McCORMACK – (18-24) Athletic city boy, pop/rock voice, good dancer.
  • REVEREND SHAW MOORE – (40-50) Powerful, iron-clad minister, strong voice.
  • WILLARD HEWITT – (18-24) Ren’s friend, country boy, sings and moves well.
  • CHUCK CRANSTON – (20s) Ariel’s boyfriend, pop/rock voice, moves well, good-looking bad boy.
  • ARIEL MOORE – (18-24) Beautiful minister’s daughter with a wild side, pop/rock voice, good dancer.
  • ETHEL McCORMACK – (30-45) Ren’s Mother, single, attractive, good singer.
  • VI MOORE – (30-45) Minister’s wife, good singer.
  • ENSEMBLE: Seeking an ensemble that sings and dances well.
  • TEENAGERS: (13-18) Ensemble teens

ALL ENSEMBLE ROLES WILL BE CAST FROM THE PRINCIPAL CALL AND DANCE CALL.
Teenagers (13 years old and older) will be auditioning for ensemble roles ONLY.

All adults and teens should prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show.
Also be prepared to dance.

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT) is STILL SEEKING the role of JAY for the first MainStage production in their 102nd Season, Disney’s Descendants!

To be considered, email a PDF of your current headshot and resume, as well as a youtube or VIMEO link with a 1 minute song selection (Pop/Rock or Contemporary Musical Theatre) that shows off your range and personality.  Email to eric.byrd@tctcincinnati.com with subject line “ACTOR SUBMISSION-JAY.”  PLEASE SUBMIT BY JULY 10, 2021.

TCT is the nation’s oldest children’s theatre. All roles are paid positions.

7th Annual NEW WORKS FESTIVAL Runs July 22-31

Cincinnati LAB Theatre’s New Works Festival will present three fully staged workshop productions and three original play readings in a rotating festival repertoire over two weekends, July 22 – July 31, 2021. All performances will be presented in Cincinnati at the Madcap Education Center 3064 Harrison Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45211.

Cincinnati LAB Theatre is now in its eighth producing season.

A contemporary comedy, The Secret Life of Bros begins with two gym buddies, Dude and Bro. As Dude prepares for his impending wedding, that upcoming weekend, Bro is trying to figure out how to dump the ‘f***boy’ he has been seeing. When Bro decides to follow Dude’s advice and attempts to dump the ‘f***boy,’ a myriad of secrets and feelings unravel, jeopardizing Dude and Bro’s friendship. The Secret Life Of Bros is an unfiltered examination at male relationships and how the perceptions of those closest to us affect how we see ourselves.

Through barriers to her physical state she must learn to speak, eat, walk, and love all over again in this raw, poetic, and inspiring piece of theatre.

Based on a real event, which has been the subject of gossip for years in Hollywood, LOOPED takes place in the summer of 1965, when an inebriated Tallulah Bankhead, well-known for her husky voice, outrageous personality, and devastating wit, needed eight hours to redub – or loop – one line of dialogue for her last movie, Die! Die! My Darling! Bankhead’s outsized personality dominates the young, frustrated film editor who is knocked for a loop by the tempestuous stage and screen icon. Rated R. Ages 18 and up.
