May Production of MAMA WON’T FLY Cancelled at Fairfield Footlighters

fflTo Our Patrons,

As government-mandated bans in relation to the COVID-19 health crisis are pushed later into the calendar, the Fairfield Footlighters Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel our May production, MAMA WON’T FLY. We made this decision in agreement with the staff of our home venue, the Fairfield Community Arts Center.

We refuse to risk the safety of our patrons, cast and crew, and FCAC staff. Therefore, cancelling this production is in the interest of all. Fairfield Footlighters intend to comply fully with the Governor’s orders and do our part to help flatten the curve so we can return to the Fairfield Community Arts Center stage with a fabulous 2020-21 season.

Season Subscribers who renew their subscription for 2020-21 Season will receive a discounted rate of 4 shows of the price of 3.

Patrons who held single tickets to MAMA WON’T FLY will receive a voucher for any Fairfield Footlighters show in our 2020-21 Season. If a single-ticket patron purchases a Season Subscription for 2020-21, they will receive the same discount as renewing Subscribers – 4 shows for the price of 3 – instead of a voucher.

Thank you for your understanding in our decision. Stay tuned for the announcement of our 2020-21 Season!

Regards,
Fairfield Footlighters Board of Directors

2020-2021 Season Updated at Cincy Shakes

CSC_logoCincinnati Shakespeare Company is thrilled to announce that the 2020-2021 Season will now open with our much awaited production of HAMLET featuring Sara Clark Rose as Hamlet and will close with a reopening of our production of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. The past season was The Season of the Woman and our productions of HAMLET and “Pride and Prejudice” were centerpieces of this initiative. When we had to close and cancel these productions, we keenly felt their loss. So, today we are thrilled to share that we are now planning to bring these productions back to share with audiences next season!

HAMLET will be in place of the previously planned production of NETWORK which will be moved to a future season. And with so many unknowns still this summer, we have also made the decision to postpone the planned July 2020 production of BORN YESTERDAY.

This means that Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Grand Reopening and start of the 2020-2021 Season will be with HAMLET from August 28 – September 26, 2020 and will close with PRIDE AND PREJUDICE from June 4 – July 3, 2021.

I DO! I DO! Canceled at Cincinnati Music Theatre

CMT_Studio Series logoWe are deeply saddened and disappointed to announce that due to the evolving impact of the coronavirus and the directives from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine regarding the ban on public gatherings until further notice, the Cincinnati Music Theatre (CMT) production of I Do! I Do!, scheduled for June 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2020 at the Aronoff Center’s Fifth Third Bank Theater, has been cancelled.

This was a very difficult decision to make, but your CMT Board of Trustees feels it is in the best interest of our many volunteers and audience members to keep everyone safe and healthy. We look forward to the time when we can once again gather to enjoy the friendship and collaborative efforts involved in our favorite hobby, live theater.

For those of you holding tickets for I Do! I Do!, we would like to offer you three options for the tickets you purchased, which will be processed by the Cincinnati Arts Association’s Ticketing Services staff:

CREDIT your account for the value of your ticket(s) toward a CMT 2020-2021 Season subscription. Details about purchasing a subscription will be available later this summer.

DONATE the value of your ticket(s) to Cincinnati Music Theatre (a not-for-profit community theater) to help us continue our mission of providing high-quality musicals at an affordable price to the audiences of Greater Cincinnati.

REFUND the value of your ticket(s).

Contact CAA Ticketing Services at ticketing@cincinnatiarts.org no later than May 1, 2020 with your preferred ticketing option from the list above: CREDIT, DONATE, or REFUND.

Please refer to www.cincinnatimusictheatre.org for more information about our 2020-2021 season.

Season Update from Queen City Productions

QCP logo2Hello everyone,
We just wanted to post an update on our current production of The Addams Family. We had really hoped to still be able to perform for everyone in April. Unfortunately, due to the extension of the stay at home order until May 1st, that was made impossible. But, fortunately, we have been able to reschedule for June 4th-7th. Our plan is to keep the order of shows the same.

Yellow Cast: Thursday, June 4th @ 8pm, Saturday, June 6th @ 8pm, Sunday, June 7th @ 2pm

Black Cast: Friday, June 5th @ 8pm, Saturday, June 6th @ 2pm, Sunday, June 7th @ 8pm
Tickets for these new dates are available at www.queencityproductions.weebly.com

We are hopeful that by this time the stay at home order will have been lifted or relaxed enough to allow us to perform for at least a small amount of patrons. Theatre 42 holds 120 seats (roughly). If restrictions extend, we will be reducing the number of available tickets per performance to whatever number will keep us in compliance with limited gathering restrictions, if any, at that time. We will not remove any physical seats so that guests attending the show can spread themselves out throughout the theater. Our recommendation to people who have friends or family in the cast and would very much like to see the show, is to purchase your tickets sooner rather than later so that you have your tickets before we would have to impose a selling limit. We will be holding out until the last possible moment to cancel or postpone the show again if that becomes something that is required. In the event of a cancellation or postponement, all purchased tickets will be eligible for a refund. If you have already purchased tickets and are unable/do not wish to attend these new dates, please email us and we can refund your tickets. If you are unable/do not wish to attend the new dates, we do ask that you consider donating your ticket purchase to Queen City Productions. As a non-profit, community theater, revenue from ticket sales is the only way we are able to continue to bring quality shows to the community.

Regardless of if, or what, restrictions are in place at the time of the performance, here are some of the things we will be doing during the run to keep our guests, cast and crew safe:

  • wipe down all counters, doors, etc with disinfectant wipes and industrial strength germicide.
  • mopping the floors in both bathrooms, lobby and house with disinfectant floor cleaner.
  • placing hand sanitizer in multiple locations around the building.
  • for tickets and concessions, only one person, who will be wearing gloves, will handle money.
  • every concession worker will be wearing gloves, and nobody who touches food or beverage will be allowed to handle any money.
  • concession and ticket counters will be wiped down after each use.
  • we will not be reusing any programs.
  • all garbage cans will be emptied nightly no matter how full.

The cast and crew are also taking their own precautionary measures such as labeling all water bottles brought in and not sharing food or beverage as well as discussing doing makeup at home to avoid touching their faces in public.

We know this is a crazy time, but we are wanting to be cautious and not paranoid. We also want to give our cast, crew and audiences something to be able to look forward to on the other side of all of this craziness. We appreciate your support and we hope to be able to bring this amazing production that we have spent so much time on already to as many of you as possible!
