Covedale’s A CHRISTMAS CAROL Recognized by LCT

Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized scenic designer Brett Bowling for his work in Covedale Theatre’s production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, a fresh musical take on an old holiday classic.

Panelists praised Brett Bowling’s set as “phenomenal! The detail oriented and versatile set was perfect for this show…It gave me the feeling of looking into one of my grandmother’s Christmas snow globes.”

A CHRISTMAS CAROL continues through December 22nd. Tickets can be obtained online at www.cincinnatilandmarkproductions.

Nominations for LCT awards will be determined and announced at the end of the season and winners awarded at the annual LCT gala in the spring.

The League of Cincinnati Theatres was founded in 1999 to strengthen, nurture and promote Cincinnati’s theatre community. LCT provides its member companies and individual members with education, resources and services to enhance the quality and exposure of the theatre community in Cincinnati and increase community awareness, attendance and involvement. A musical version of Dickens’ all time favorite tale. Our holiday haunter has yuletide ghouls and merrymaking a-plenty! We’ll “Bring Back Christmas” with the not-so- “Dear, Mr. Scrooge,” while Bob Cratchit counts his heavenly “Christmas Treasure” and Tiny Tim chimes in with “God Bless Us Everyone!” It’s “Christmas First of All” at the Covedale.

DRACULA

Lucy Seward, whose father is the doctor in charge of an English sanitorium, has been attacked by some mysterious illness. Dr. Van Helsing, a specialist, believes that the girl is the victim of a vampire, a sort of ghost that goes about at night sucking blood from its victims. The vampire is at last found to be a certain Count Dracula, whose ghost is at last laid to rest in a striking and novel manner. Pure escape and great fun.
