EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVERY TOLD (AND THEN SOME!)
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
Dec. 14-30
[Over-the-Rhine]

Directed by Jeremy Dubin

Cast: Justin McCombs, Billy Chace, Miranda McGee & Maggie Lou Rader

CSC’s holiday smash hit Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!) is back! What begins as another annual production of A Christmas Carol, soon devolves into a slightly irreverent look at all of our favorite “Beloved Holiday Classics” including It’s a Wonderful Life, Frosty, Rudolph, Charlie Brown and more! Three actors (with the help of Santa) send up everything from Dickens to Dr. Seuss in 90+ minutes of high octane jollity and frivolity. Not recommended for any theatergoer who still believes in Santa.

It’s cheerfully cheeky and always a lot of fun! OTRimprov transforms the patio at Arnold’s Bar and Grill into a magical world to celebrate, skewer, embellish, and extol everything we love (and love to hate) about the holidays.

When we are rewriting a beloved carol in front of your eyes, showing how Santa should handle unexpected gift requests, and reimagining your favorite holiday stories in magical ways, The Naughty List stuffs your holidays with side-splitting laughs. Bring your cheer or your humbug; either way, you’ll be a part of the incomparable experience only OTRimprov can provide.

MIRACLE OF 34TH STREET: A Live Musical Radio Play Runs Dec. 14-22

Middletown Lyric Theatre
Dec. 14-22
[Middletown]

Direction & musical staging by Charley Shafor
Music & vocal direction by Jay Mills

Adapted from the original 1947 LUX Radio Broadcast this “live radio play” complete with Foley effects and a score of holiday carols, Miracle on 34th Street  is a beloved musical that will melt even the most cynical of hearts. Our story begins as Doris Walker frantically recruits a last minute replacement for a drunken Santa for Macy’s Christmas parade. The man proves ideal for the job and for good reason – he says his name is Kris Kringle and that he’s the real Santa Claus. This tale takes us all the way to the Supreme Court where one little girl’s belief makes all the difference in this “Miracle.”
