Putting Together the Pieces in HUMPTY-DUMPTY IS MISSING at the Arts Center at Dunham

SSP_Humpty Dumpty is Missing color logoCINCINNATI, OH – November 10, 2019 — Gather the clues to piece together this classic children’s nursery rhyme turned whodunnit Humpty-Dumpty Is Missing opening December 6 at Sunset Players and The Art Center at Dunham (1945 Dunham Way, Cincinnati, OH 45238).

In the tradition of his grandfather, Samuel Shovel and his father, Sam Spade, private investigator Sammy Scoop faces the biggest challenge of his illustrious career with the sudden fall and disappearance of the jolly Humpty-Dumpty. Sam and his sidekick Alice from Dallas combine forces to crack the case and grill a list of suspects, including Mistress Mary, Rip Van Winkle, Henny-Penny, Peter Rabbit and his sisters, Rapunzel and the Handsome Prince, all who had motive and opportunity. Humpty-Dumpty Is Missing is written by Joseph Robinette, directed by Bob Kelley and produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

Performances are December 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and 15. Friday night performances are at 7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm.

Sunset Players, Inc. is a community theater group located on the west side of Cincinnati. Founded in 1979, the group performs at the Arts Center at Dunham and has produced more than 120 plays. Junior Claus is the only son of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Like many teenagers, Junior is reluctant to take over the family business. When a sudden drop in Christmas spirit renders Santa incapable of making the great ride, Junior must take the reins. Meanwhile, a scheming, miserly elf takes advantage of Santa’s absence as he plots to turn the workshop into a for-profit enterprise. Together with his cheery elf best friend, a gregarious penguin and a host of colorful characters, Junior must learn the true meaning of Christmas in time to save the day.
