Just in time for the holidays: SNOW WHITE at the Arts Center at Dunham

Sunset Players, Inc., a Westside fixture in community theater for over 30 years, presents its 2012/2013 Children’s Workshop Production, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVER DWARVES OF THE BLACK FOREST written by June Walker Rogers and directed by Trisha Myers.

See all of your favorite characters, plus some new faces. Snow White’s father, King Absent Minded, has re-married, but he doesn’t realize that his new queen, Bella, is a beautiful witch. Watch as Bella and her frantic servant, Maid Dim Witty, hatch plan after plan to do away with Snow White so that Bella can remain fairest in all the land. Only the seven dwarfs, Snow White’s animal friends, and Prince Goodhearted stand in her way. Father Time’s daughter, Miss Time, serves as your guide through this funny tale for children of all ages. Just in time for the holiday season! Children can meet the cast after the show for autographs and treats!

Sunset’s Children Workshop Productions have been a fixture in Sunset’s seasons since 1993. The productions give Cincinnati children and adults who are new to theater the opportunity to experience acting, directing, and the technical aspects of live theater culminating in two weekends of performances.

This year’s cast includes Kitty Davies, Karra Robinson, Koben Hinman, Livvy Stubenrauch, Alyssa Rosselot, Sydney Parsell, Meghan Altimari, Sarah Braunstein, Victoria Covarrubia, Maia Morrigan, Claudia Covarrubia, Anna Webster, Lydia Yax, Leann Wessel, Tay Sauer, Hannah Lewis, Ashunti McCoy, Matthew Myers, and Bonnie McCoy.

Show dates are November 30, December 1, 2, 7, 8, & 9. Friday shows are at 7 PM, Saturday and Sunday shows are at 2 PM. Performances will be held at the Arts Center at Dunham, 1945 Dunham Way, Cincinnati 45238.

Young Digory and his friend Polly set forth on a series of magical adventures through mythical kingdoms. Good battles evil as Digory struggles to return home to cure his ailing mother with the healing apple. Based on the sixth book of the Chronicles of Narnia series, this play contains elements of realism, fantasy, humor and suspense.

Kids Ticket Giveaway to CCPA’s CINDERELLA

CINDERELLA is coming to the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts next month.

Before she arrives in her beautiful gown with her impressive footmen, she wants to see YOU in your favorite costume.

Just upload a photo of a child in his/her Halloween costume (or any costume) to Facebook and make sure you “tag” the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts.

Entries must be received by midnight on Nov. 3. Five lucky kids (12 and younger) will be randomly selected to win a Family Four-Pack to see CINDERELLA live at the Covedale Center (Nov. 29 – Dec. 23). One entry per Facebook account. Winners will be selected and notified on Nov. 5.
