NET Seeks Resident Stage Manager

New Edgecliff Theatre Resident Stage Manager

Reports to: Technical Director

Position Summary:

New Edgecliff Theatre is seeking a resident stage manager for our 2012-2013 seasons. The Stage Manager is a key position in every NET production, serving as liaison between staff, cast, and production team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, has excellent communication skills, and is able to adapt to the needs of each production. An excellent stage manager is able to anticipate needs and address concerns before they become problems.

Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend all production meetings for every production.
  • Attend all rehearsals for each production.
  • Create and maintain the Prompt Script.
  • Create and distribute daily rehearsal and production reports.
  • Attend most staff meetings.
  • Run all technical rehearsals.
  • Maintain the show throughout the run of the show, as rehearsed and give notes to the cast as needed.

Qualifications: previous experience in stage management.

Requirements: must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

 Compensation: All NET positions are stipend paid per production.

Seven Hills Seeks Technical Director

Seven Hills Schools is looking for a part-time tech director for next year. The position will be responsible for construction of both upper and middle school sets, lighting, scene painting, and running the show for the middle school. There are not set hours. It will depend on the person and their schedule. The stipend is 7k. I will get a formal job description together but in the meantime if you know anyone that would be interested send them my info. CMT Seeks Choreographer for SUNSET BOULEVARD

Cincinnati Music Theatre is seeking a choreographer for its Spring 2013 production of Sunset Boulevard.

The choreographer will be working in conjunction with the director to create chorography and musical staging for various sequences and will be responsible teaching, rehearsing and polishing these sequences. Rehearsals will begin in late February, 2013. Performances are May 10 through May 18, 2013 at the Jarson-Kaplan Theater at the Aronoff Center.

Cincinnati Music Theatre is proud to present the first Cincinnati community theatre production of Sunset Boulevard. Based the Billy Wilder film, it features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. It is being produced by Deb Schubert and directed by Skip Fenker, who previously directed CMT’s local premieres of Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone and Hairspray. Kendra Struthers, who has conducted CMT’s productions of Gypsy, Curtains and Hairspray, will serve as musical director.

CLP Seeks Part-Time Assistant Set Builder

Cincinnati Landmark Productions is seeking a part-time assistant set builder for The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts and The Showboat Majestic.

Assistant Set Builder – Job Requirements:
Must be at least 19 years of age, have high school diploma or equivalency, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Candidate must be able to work in an unsupervised environment. Must be a self starter, dependable, and have excellent communication skills. Ability to utilize tools for set work and technical equipment. Must be able and willing to follow instructions. Carpentry skills a plus! Good time management skills a must. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Hours for position vary – however basic timeframe includes 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Pay rate is $9.00 hourly.

Top Casting Director to See Katalyst Talent

Katalyst is happy to announce we have the Top Kids Casting Director Howard Meltzer coming to town to see our talent! Howard has cast for a number of Disney projects including the very successful show Hannah Montana as well as XD Lab Rats which has been renewed for its second season!

Howard is casting for the second season of Disney XD Lab Rats. Many of you may remember that Howard was the casting director for Disney’s Hannah Monatana! He is also casting for additional films and television. He casts both adults and children. Below are links to some of work Howard has cast:

This Workshop will take place in one of NKU’s Theatres on Sunday, August 26, 2012 and will be held in two sessions. One is for children between 6 and 13 while the other is for ages 14 or older!

Ages 6-13 Session will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm

Ages 14+ Session will be held from 3:00 on until 6:00 pm

Cost for this Workshop is $150. As always your payment secures your spot. Payments can be made with check, money order or cash and should be made out to Katalyst.
