Playhouse South will be holding open auditions for THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE on January 19th and 20th at 7:00. Please prepare a 45 second upbeat Broadway style song that showcases personality. There will not be a dance audition, but the show will have some dance choreographed by Annette Looper. Auditions Announced for CLP’s 1776 at the Incline Theater
Cincinnati Landmark Productions will hold auditions for the Warsaw Federal Incline Theater summers production of 1776.
Sunday, March 15 and Monday, March 16, 2015 from 6-9:30pm
All auditions will be held at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts, 4990 Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.
Important Audition Information:
- Please prepare 16 bars of a song that best showcases vocal ability in the style of the show.
- Please dress appropriately.
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age to audition.
- Cast members do not have to be the actual ages of the characters – just must be able to look age appropriate and act accordingly.
- MUST HAVE A RESUME listing theatrical experience in order to audition.
- A headshot/picture is appreciated but not required.

Loving wife to John Adams. Intelligent, quick-witted, and talented with a pen, Abigail is a radiant and shapely beauty. Every bit as bright as her husband.
Female, 32 yrs old Range: Db4 – F5 - BENJAMIN FRANKLIN Delegate from Pennsylvania. Franklin is intelligent, well-traveled, and pleasantly cunning. A jolly and admirable fellow with whom one would desire to have a friendship. Male, 60-70 yrs old Range: Ab2 – Eb4
- COL. THOMAS McKEAN Delegate from Delaware. McKean is florid and likable with a charming, yet commanding, Scottish Brogue. Male, 42 yrs old Range: C3 – Eb4
- COURIER The message runner between General Washington’s army and the Continental Congress. He has witnessed the hardships of war firsthand, although his innocent disposition and appearance may imply otherwise.
Male, 15-20 yrs old Range: C3 – Db4 - EDWARD RUTLEDGE Delegate from South Carolina. Despite his good looks, Rutledge is haunting and somewhat ominous as the youngest member of the Continental Congress. There is a serpent-like quality to him. Male, 26 yrs old Range: C3 – A4
- JOHN ADAMS Delegate from Massachusetts. John is a dutiful husband. Opinionated, passionate, and a bit boisterous, he wears his age with pride. Starving for independence from England. Male, 41 yrs old Range: C3 – F#4
- JOHN DICKINSON Delegate from Pennsylvania. A thin, hawkish gentleman. He is sharp-tongued and a touch detestable. Male, 44 yrs old Range: A2 – E4
- MARTHA JEFFERSON Thomas Jefferson’s very-much-in-love wife. Her looks are striking, her dancing delightful, and her humor appealing. She doesn’t shy away from a good time. Joy radiates from her. Female, 27 yrs old Range: Bb3 – D5
- RICHARD HENRY LEE Delegate from Virginia, Lee is a willowy aristocrat. His flamboyancy is intoxicating and borderline infuriating. Male, 45 yrs old Range: C3 – G4
ROBERT LIVINGSTON Delegate from New York. Recently a father, Livingston’s disposition has become one of humility and graciousness. He has changed considerably over the years.
Male, 30 yrs old Range: Bb2 – F4 - ROGER SHERMAN Delegate from Connecticut. A coffee drinker with a penchant for hyperactivity, Sherman is a simple and balding cobbler.
Male, 55 yrs old Range: C3 – Bb4 - STEPHEN HOPKINS Delegate from Rhode Island. Hopkins’ drinking has led to an appearance befitting of the 2nd oldest in the Continental Congress. He has a dirty old man playfulness about him. Male, 70 yrs old Range: C3 – Eb4
- THOMAS JEFFERSON Delegate from Virginia. Though noticeably tall, Jefferson is mild-mannered and sweet. Along with being a well read man, he is very much in love with his wife.

Auditions Announced for SSW’s ROMEO & JULIET on Jan. 12-13
Springfield StageWorks presents ROMEO and JULIET by William Shakespeare

The director is seeking 10 to 14 Company members, aged 18 and older for this production. Some actors may be cast in multiple roles and some roles may be cut or adjusted. Many roles are open to both male or female auditionees.

WHAT TO BRING:
- Actors new to StageWorks should prepare a one minute monologue from Shakespeare (any play.)
- All actors should be prepared to read from the script.
- Resume (or list of previous experience) and photos are recommended, but not required.
- All actors should bring a list of conflicts detailing scheduling issues between January 26th through April 12th and June 25th through July 5th.
- The show requires various forms of stage combat, music and some dance at the ball. If you have any experience in any of these genres, please be prepared to share this with us.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Announces Auditions for the 2015-2016 Company

CINCINNATI, December 23, 2014— The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is excited to announce its auditions for the 2015-2016 season. The auditions will be held at our theatre, located at 719 Race St in downtown Cincinnati on the following dates:
- Thursday, January 22nd 12:00pm – 5:00pm
- Friday January 23rd 12:00pm – 5:00pm
- Saturday January 24th 12:00pm – 5:00pm
- Sunday January 25th 10:00am – 2:00pm
AVAILABLE POSITIONS:
Touring Company– This is the entry level position to the ensemble. It’s a group of 6 actors that tour to schools, colleges, community centers, etc., within a two-hour radius of the city (these tours are almost never overnight). They perform a variety of programming, including 3 full length Shakespeare plays. They are also called on to go into schools and lead workshops on particular plays or performance techniques. In addition, they play a variety of supporting roles in our larger mainstage productions. It is a ten month contract running from July to May. The weekly salary is $200 and housing is provided. Must be Non-Equity.
Guest Artist- This is an artist brought in for a specific production. While generally shows are cast from the Resident Ensemble and Touring Company, occasionally due to cast size, availability or specific casting requirements we bring in additional artists. Contract and pay scale varies dependent on union status, size of role, etc. May be Equity or Non-Equity.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Please prepare two contrasting classical pieces, at least one of them Shakespeare. The combined pieces should not exceed 4 minutes; and if you have any additional classical pieces in your repertoire, it couldn’t hurt to dust them off, as you may be given an opportunity to perform them. Those auditioning for a Touring Company position may also have a very brief interview with the Education Director.

Please submit a current Headshot/Resume, as well as a cover letter. Please specify in the cover letter whether you are interested primarily in a Touring Company or Guest Artist position. For those interested in a Touring Company position, the cover letter should also include the following:
- Why you are interested in CSC
- Your interest in/experience with education
- 3 references with contact information

FAQs
I’m interested in becoming a part of the Resident Ensemble. What’s the process?
Members of the Resident Ensemble usually either graduate up from the Touring Company, or are Guest Artists that we have worked with a number of times. This gives both parties a chance to get to know each other before committing to a more long-term arrangement- in other words, go on few dates before getting hitched.
Are EMC points available?
Yes.
I can’t make it to any of the allotted audition dates. Can I still audition?
If you absolutely can’t make it on any of the days listed, let us know and we can try to arrange an audition at a different time. It’s best to try to audition before the dates listed, as the casting process will begin very shortly after those dates. If you are from out-of-town, and are going to be in the area prior to the official auditions, we’re happy to try to set up an audition while you’re here to save you some travel costs.
Do you accept video auditions?
We’re happy to take a look at video submissions, though we will almost always want to see an actor in person before casting them.

Village Players announces AUDITIONS for BLOOD RELATIONS at the Fort Thomas Woman’s Club (Street Level)!

The play begins ten years after the Fall River murders: On a cool Sunday afternoon in the fall of 1902, an actress from Boston is visiting her friend, the infamous Miss Lizzie Borden. Miss Lizzie has spent the last ten years keeping a low profile since her acquittal of the murder of her father and stepmother.
Miss Lizzie proposes a game in which The Actress is to play the role of Lizzie, while the real Miss Lizzie paints the background of her home and family life, as well as taking on the role of the housemaid Bridget O’Sullivan. Miss Lizzie fills The Actress’ mind with images to guide her performance, as we witness pivotal moments leading up to the August morning in 1892 when Mr. and Mrs. Borden were found with thirteen and thirty-two axe blows to their heads.
The cast will consist of three actors and four actresses, 20s to 60s:
