Auditions Announced for THE CRUCIBLE at The Regular Theatre

trt_logoThe Regular Theatre announces open auditions for its summer production, Arthur Miller’s THE CRUCIBLE, directed by Hannah Sgambellone!

Auditions take place Tue, April 30 from 4-7pm at Lower Millcrest Park, 1700 Hopkins Ave, Norwood, Ohio 45212

The show will be presented at Gorman Heritage Farm, July 26th-28th. Rehearsals for the production will start Sunday, June 30th, and take place Sunday-Wednesday nights through the month of July.

Those interested in auditioning should send a headshot and resume to regulartheatre@outlook.com to reserve an audition time! Sides will be sent via email inquiry. Should student actors who are based out of town need living arrangements for the month of July, we will work to provide those for you!

If you are unable to make the audition time, that’s okay! We’d love to see a video audition from you or arrange an audition over Skype. Just email regulartheatre@outlook.com for the sides!

This production will be highly stylized – thus, actors of all ages and races are encouraged to audition for all characters (with the exception of Tituba – this role is reserved for an African American or Native American actor). Some cross-gendered casting may also be considered for certain characters. If you have any questions about who to audition for, please don’t hesitate to contact regulartheatre@outlook.com!

Casting Call for Two Cincy Fringe Roles

CFF_Orange logo text onlyTwo actors needed for Cincinnati Fringe performances:

  1. Mara, a low-functioning autistic teen. She might come off as strange, but inside are hidden depths and a big secret. Age 15-18 female, must be okay with mature topics.
  2. Jacob, a sarcastic and sardonic trans male teen. He doesn’t let his depression stop him from having an opinion on pretty much everything, and no matter the situation, he probably would rather be somewhere else. Age 15-18, transgender male, must be okay with mature topics.

Schedule is 2-3 rehearsals a week in the evening throughout April and May, and show dates on June 1, 5, 7, 9, and 13. Contact Aria Schottelkotte at Macremae101@gmail.com with a video of a one minute dramatic monologue, headshot, and resumé.

Auditions Announced 9 TO 5 the Musical at SSCC Theatre

SSCC_logoSSCC Theatre is pleased to announce open auditions for “9 to 5: The Musical,” based on the hit 1980 movie starring Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda.

Open to community members and students, auditions will be held Friday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m.

In 9 TO 5 the Musical, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.

The show runs July 26 – 28.
