BB_new logoBart’s Bards is excited to announce our summer musical for 2023 THE SOUND OF MUSIC, with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, directed by Tom Peters.

Auditions for our production will be held on February 4, from noon to 4:00pm, and on February 7, from 7:00 to 9:00pm.  This year’s auditions will once again take place at John Paul II Catholic School.  Please enter through the main entrance to the school and follow the stairs down to the left to our audition area.

You may choose a 15-minute audition slot using our signup genius page at the following link – https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050A48A8AF28A0F49-2023.  Once all slots are filled, we will be accepting walk-ins.  However, as a walk-in the wait time may be a bit longer as we attempt to fit you in with our scheduled auditioners.  So, book your spot early.

The format for auditions will include a singing portion (16-32 measures of a Broadway-style show tune); a read-through with other actors; and a dance portion.  A speaker will be available to be used with your cell phone for accompaniment (no a capella singing auditions, please).  The dance auditions will take place at the end of three consecutive 15-minute audition slots.

More information on auditions and forms to be filled out prior to auditioning can be found on our website: https://bartsbards.org.  Forms will also be available at auditions.  However, we would prefer you fill out and sign the forms ahead of time to keep things moving during auditions.  Thanks!

We hope you will consider joining us in 2023 for what is sure to be a fun time putting this beloved musical on the stage.  See you at auditions!
