Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – Cancellations at Fitton Center

MISC_Fitton Center logoWe regret to inform you that the Fitton Center will be cancelling or rescheduling all events for the month of March and into early April, 2020. We have been in direct communication with the City of Hamilton Health Department for several weeks with regard to developments in the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, and have continued to strictly follow the advice and instruction of the Health Commissioner during this time.

AFFECTED EVENTS INCLUDE

  • Shades of Bublé – Saturday, March 14
  • Loving – Tuesday, March 17
  • Two Sketchy Dames – Saturday, March 28
  • 80 Acres – Wednesday, April 1

We are working with all producers and artists to reschedule all performances and events. At this time we can offer a direct transfer of all your purchased seats to the new date and your current tickets will be valid for the performance. However, if you would like to return your tickets, we can do this for a full refund. You may contact the Box Office on 513 863 8873 x110.

We continue to review all upcoming events under the direct advisement of the City of Hamilton Health Department.

The mysterious death of a king is followed by his brother’s unconventional ascension to the throne. The Queen’s bed casts young Hamlet, usurped heir to the crown, in the role of reluctant avenger. Incest and intrigue, murder and madness, triumph and treachery all combine to paint one of the most complex and compelling portraits in all of English literature.

Footloose, based on the hit 1984 film, tells the story of Ren, as he moves from the big city of Chicago to small town U.S.A. Unprepared for religious local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local pastor, Ren sets out to bring forgotten joy to his new friends. Audiences will rock to the Oscar and Tony-nominated musical score and soundtrack that reached number one on the Billboard charts with hits such as “Let’s Hear It For The Boy,” “Almost Paradise,” “Holding Out For A Hero,” and “Footloose.”

2020-2021 Season Announced for Broadway in Dayton by Dayton Live

Auditions Announced for CHARLOTTE’S WEB at Beechmont Players

BPI_logoBeechmont Players announces audition for their summer production of CHARLOTTE’S WEB. 

Auditions are available for children ages 12 – adult. Rehearsals will begin in May and performances will be July 31 – August 8. 

We are going to do auditions online only. Please follow the information below:

  1. Fill out the audition form by clicking this link: http://tinyurl.com/bpicweb
  2. Please make sure you fill out the conflict form completely, as this will determine the rehearsal schedule. The conflict form is on the audition form.
  3. Please prepare a video with the following:
    a. sing 16 – 32 bars of a contemporary theatre song with accompaniment. The accompaniment can be live or recorded.The song needs to be memorized.
    b. 30 seconds to a minute of you dancing to a song. The video needs to show your whole body. You don’t need to do anything choreographed, just dance. We want to see how well you move.
    c. Please email the video to: bpiauditions@gmail.com
  4. Callbacks, if needed, will be done through Zoom. If you are needed for callbacks, we will contact you and send you via email what you need to prepare.
  5. All auditionees will receive a yes or no either via phone call or email.

ALL VIDEOS ARE DUE BY MONDAY, APRIL 20 AT 10 PM. If you have questions/problems, please email us before the deadline.

Current conditions require that we leave open the possibility that this show will not be produced. However, we are going forward, hoping that we will be able to present this show as scheduled.

Auditions for CHARLOTTE’S WEB are April 19th at 3pm and April 20th at 7pm.

Auditions will consist of singing your song (accompanist will be provided, no recorded accompaniment), learning a dance combination, and possibly reading from the script.

Please bring a headshot, resume, and come dressed to move.

Roles available for ages 12 and up.

Production dates: July 31-Aug. 8.
