MACBETH
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
April 5-May 4
[Over-the-Rhine]

Directed by Miranda McGee

When the noble Scottish Lord Macbeth sees a path to power open up before him, he is determined to trod that path to its bloody end, consequences (and maybe himself) be damned. With his ruthless wife at his side, the two plot a Machiavellian course to put and to keep Macbeth on the Scottish throne. Shakespeare’s heart-pounding thrill ride of a play is a harrowing exploration of ambition, morality, tyranny and corruption. This production contains adult situations and violence. It is not suitable for children under 13.

Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites. With simple sets and uncomplicated staging, this powerful drama is about the inner struggle of Guy Montag, a fireman. Montag has worked as a civil servant for ten years burning books, but lately he has become increasingly unsure about what he is doing and about his vegetable-like existence. It is not until he meets 16-year-old Clarisse, who is filled with strange ideas, that he is led into a dangerous and highly combustible situation. Now he must choose between continuing his nonexistent existence and risking everything for the right to think.

Frank, Aida, Emma, and Nunzio are heartbroken at the prospect of their beloved grandson raising a family all the way across the country — or worse, not raising a family at all! Storytellers Sought for trueSTORM at trueTHEATRE

TRUE_logoWho doesn’t love a good story? Who doesn’t have one of their own? You’ve got a lot of them and you know others who do, too!

Well, True Theatre is looking for people, right now, to share their stories at our upcoming show (trueSTORM) on April 25, at Memorial Hall!

We’re mostly looking for stories that approach the theme literally (stories with a weather-related storm at their center). We will entertain a metaphorical approach to the theme as well, but are leaning toward the literal, when it comes to this show.

Snow storms, lightning storms, rain, hail, hurricanes, tornadoes, etc. For some, the story is in the anticipation of the storm’s arrival. For others, it’s the actual weathering of the storm that will be what they pitch. For still others, the storm is only the beginning of their story.

What’s your story?

If you have a story that you’d like us to consider, find your way over (or send someone that you recommend) to our submission page on our website (https://www.truetheatre.com/true-pitch) or write us at stories@truetheatre.com and let us hear from you as soon as possible!

Thanks for your consideration and for helping us spread the word! We look forward to hearing from you.

Truly!
