THE CURIOUS SAVAGE and CHRISTMAS DREAMS Postponed to 2021 Season at Brookville Community Theatre

BVCT_logoThe Brookville Community Theatre Board of Directors has been carefully following all updates and guidelines regarding COVID-19. We have been closely monitoring the impact it is having on the public and we are especially concerned about the health of our volunteers and patrons. Even though things are opening up, we have weighed all options regarding our upcoming events, to determine the best course of action to protect everyone’s health in this difficult time.

We have sadly decided to cancel the rest of our 2020 season. THE CURIOUS SAVAGE and CHRISTMAS DREAMS will be moved to our 2021 season.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes to our patrons. We hope that all of our patrons remain safe during these uncertain times, and we will get through this together! This is our current plan, but as circumstances unfold, and if things change, we will keep you informed.

We will announce any updates on our website and on our Facebook page.

BCT_The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 logoTHE MUSICAL COMEDY MURDERS OF 1940
Brookville Community Theatre
Feb. 13-23
[Brookville]

Directed by Debbi Robbins

Cast: Jessica Booth as Helsa Wenzel, Kate Gaston as Elsa Von Grossenknueten, Brandon Brigeman as Michael Kelly, Jonathon Thomas as Patrick O’Reily, James Nelson as Ken De La Maize, Megan Renney as Nikki Crandall, Stephen Kallenberg as Eddie McCuen, Lori Alejandro as Marjorie Baverstock, Alain Alejandro as Roger Hopewell & Sheryl Koontz as Bernice Roth

The team responsible for a recent Broadway flop (in which three chorus girls were murdered by the mysterious “Stage Door Slasher”) assemble for an audition of their new show at the Westchester estate. The house is replete with sliding panels, secret passageways and a German maid; all of which figure diabolically in the comic mayhem which follows when the infamous “Slasher” makes his reappearance and strikes again—and again. When a blizzard cuts off any possible retreat, bodies start dropping, fingers start pointing, and police start bumbling.
