Expect the Unexpected at CARNEGIE MISCAST on Oct. 28

TC_theatre full stageNew unique cabaret-style event to feature local theatre performers in unexpected roles

(COVINGTON, KY) – Actors have a list of roles they’d love to play, some more realistic than others. For one night only, patrons at The Carnegie can expect the unexpected as Carnegie Miscast gives local theatre performers the chance to tackle songs they wouldn’t traditionally have the opportunity perform in front of an audience.

Slated for Saturday, October 28, the Carnegie Miscast lineup includes actors such as Justin Glaser, Helen Raymond Goers, Leslie Kelly, Kim Schroeder Long, Allen R. Middleton, among others. And while the performance list will remain secret until that night, attendees can look forward to Broadway classics such as “You’ll Be Back,” (HAMILTON), “Agony,” (INTO THE WOODS), “I Believe,” (THE BOOK OF MORMON), “For Forever,” (DEAR EVAN HANSON), and “Cell Block Tango”, (CHICAGO).

Carnegie Miscast is a fun, mixed-up fundraiser that lets our local talent take a shot at some of their favorite musical theatre hits, even if they’d never get to play the role on stage,” said Maggie Perrino, Theatre Director at The Carnegie. “It’s sure to surprise, delight, and have you rolling in the aisles.”

Tickets to The Carnegie Miscast are $45, $35 for Carnegie Members, and include two drink tickets, and post-performance dessert reception and dance party featuring music from DJ Mowgli. Tickets may be purchased through The Carnegie Box Office at 859.957.1940, open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5pm, or online at www.thecarenegie.com.  Doors open at 8pm.

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER ONCE UPON A TIME?
By Alexi Alfieri

While reading a stack of fairy tales, the narrator is interrupted as each tale begins. Turns out, the main characters have hysterical idiosyncrasies. There’s plenty of chaos until each character explains what really happened after “once upon a time.”

Directed by Jennifer Sparks

NEEDED: AGES 8 and up
SHOW DATES: December 8-17

Auditions are cold readings from the script. No preparation needed.
