GoodPeople Theatre Co. Presents IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? – A Series of Vignettes

GoodPeople Theatre Co. Presents:
IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? – A SERIES OF VIGNETTES

GPTC_Is This Really Happening Right Now logoHave you ever been in that situation where you just look around and ask IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? Well, so have we. So we wrote a play about it.

GoodPeople Theatre Co. presents a new, original work by Mollie J. Amburgey and Will Bonfiglio titled IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW? – A SERIES OF VIGNETTES. Directed by Mollie J. Amburgey and assistant directed by Carly Tolbert, this piece stars two men and two women: Rebecca Braun, Nathan Henegar, Kara McLaughlin & Shawn Toadvine. Beginning with an Introduction full of nostalgia to situations that make one question “Is This Even Real Life?”, there are then four original vignettes exploring friendships and relationships: one taking place on a blind date, one taking place in a coffee shop, one over the application of Tinder, and one in a laundromat. By the end of this hour performance, you’ll probably be asking “Did that just really happen?”

Graphic Design is by Katie Heinrich.

Performances are Thursday, July 9th, Friday July 10th, and Saturday July 11th at 8pm. The location is Simple Space, 16 E. 13th Street, Cincinnati, OH, 45202. House opens at 7:30pm.

Tickets can be purchased online at http://goodpeopletheatre.ticketleap.com/cincypremiere/. (If each evening does not sell out, there will be a possible opportunity to purchase tickets at the door). There is a special $10 ticket price for the July 9th performance only. Tickets are $20 for General Admission, $15 for Artists/Military. Street Parking as well as garage parking is available.

Fast-talking Francis Henshall finds himself in a sticky predicament when, in his constant quest for a quick buck and a bite to eat, he ends up simultaneously working for two rival masters. Can he prevent his bosses from meeting face-to-face, or has Francis bitten off more than he can chew? This raucous new adaptation of Goldoni’s classic Italian comedy, Servant of Two Masters is filled with improvisation, audience interaction, and even a real live skiffle band.

Performances run June 12-July 5. For more information and the cast list, click here.
