QCP Announces Auditions for ONCE ON THIS ISLAND and Disney’s JUNGLE BOOK KIDS

EYT_Once On This IslandTwo great shows for youth performers! Lots of fun, upbeat songs and dances. Many roles available for performers ages 6-18 (senior in high school)! 

When: Tuesday, February 11th 6-9pm & Saturday, February 15th 1-5pm

Invited Callbacks Sunday, February 16th 2-5pm

Where: Westwood Town Hall Theater – 3017 Harrison Avenue 

Auditionees should be between the ages of 6-18(a senior in high school). Those auditioning should prepare a song that best represents their vocal ability as well as their personality. Those auditioning will also be asked to read from the script. 

Disney’s The Jungle Book is the musical based off of the classic film and is adapted for young performers. This production will be for our younger performers. Show dates are May 3rd @ 7pm and May 4th @ 2pm. 

Once on this Island is the musical loosely based on the Hans Christian Anderson version of The Little Mermaid and tells the story of TiMoune as she ventures out to gain the love of Daniel. Though along the way she is both helped and hindered by the tempermental gods who rule over the island. This production will be for our older youth performers. Show dates are May 2nd @ 7pm, May 3rd @ 2pm and May 4th @6pm.

All rehearsals and performances will be at the Westwood Town Hall Theater.

A LITTLE BIT OF BROADWAY, BROADWAY IN LOVE on Feb. 14-15

MISC_Valentines DayQueen City Productions presents: A LITTLE BIT OF BROADWAY, BROADWAY IN LOVE. Come spend an evening with us enjoying a candlelit dinner accompanied by some of Broadway’s best love songs.

Songs from shows like RENT, Jersey Boys, Hairspray, Next to Normal, The Addams Family, The Lion King, Frozen, Mamma Mia, Avenue Q, Guys and Dolls and many more. All of this beautiful music is served up alongside a delicious Italian dinner complete with dessert. So whether you bring your boyfriend, wife, child or the whole family, it is sure to be a night of food and fun for all!

QCP Announces Auditions for THE WIZARD OF OZ

MISC_AuditionsQueen City Productions will hold auditions for its next musical production, THE WIZARD OF OZ on the following dates: Auditions – Thursday, Nov. 7th – 6-9 p.m. & Friday, Nov. 8th – 6-9 p.m. Call Backs – Saturday, Nov. 9th from 4-8 p.m.

Those interested in auditioning should prepare a small part of a song from the Broadway or Disney genre of music. Songs should showcase both your talent and your personality.

There will be cold readings from the script and a dance audition as well so dress appropriately. There will also be a small tap audition so anyone who would like to participate in the tap audition should bring shoes. (though, nobody will be prohibited due to lack of tap shoes.) Your music should be on cd or ipod or other mp3 device and can be with or without background vocals. Acapella auditions are also acceptable.

Auditionees must be at least 6 years of age. Please bring a list of all known conflicts through the second week of February. Auditionees can sign up for a time to audition to make the process flow more smoothly. Audition appointments are encouraged but not required. Audition slots are in groups every 30 minutes starting at 6pm.

Secrets! Lies! Blackmail! Murder! What’s a body to do? Join in the original farce whodunit cocktail party turned multiple homicides that will leave you guessing! CLUE: the Play is the stage adaptation of the cult movie classic written by Jonathan Lynn, which is the film adaptation of the popular Parker Bros board game, featuring six suspicious characters, six deadly weapons, nine sinister rooms and one killer evening.
