Other items have found or will find new homes. The SORG Opera House in Middletown (www.sorgoperahouse.org) has already received and installed several hundred of Music Hall’s auditorium seats. The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s new Otto M. Budig Theater (under construction down the street from Music Hall at 12th and Elm Streets – www.cincyshakes.com) will display the carved figures of “Comedy and Tragedy” originally salvaged from Cincinnati’s National Theater, which in the 1800s showcased America’s preeminent Shakespearean actors.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Society for the Preservation of Music Hall, a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded to preserve, promote, improve, and provide education about Music Hall.
