In 1899, New York City got its news from an army of ragged orphans and runaways. These “newsies” dreamed of a better life away from the hardship of the streets while they fought to survive on pennies a day. But when publishing giant Joseph Pulitzer decides to raise the price of the “papes,” the newsies must band together to take action against their ruthless boss. Can they stand firm and ultimately enact change to protect working kids across the city?

It’s 1955 and a square little town is about to get All Shook Up when a guitar playing roustabout shows up. All Shook Up features a hilarious story with the energetic, heart swelling, and “blue suede shoe” tapping songs of the king himself: Elvis Presley. An infamous tale, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up… and the carnage has only just begun!

Unemployed, fresh off a dead-end marriage, and searching for a way to take control of her life, Halo walks into a gym and signs up for mixed martial arts lessons. Her trainer thinks she’s a light-weight. Her mother and sister think it’s just plain weird.

Very quickly the lessons she learns in the ring bleed into the rest of her life and Halo finds herself battling against everyone around her. As she prepares for her first match, Halo realizes that life inside the cage and outside the cage are disturbingly similar. And that the only way to survive either is to fight.
