SHAWNEE LIVING HISTORY TOUR Staged Preview Readings on May 20-21

CFTI_logoCaesar’s Ford Theatre, Inc will present staged preview readings of its new historical outdoor theatre production, the Shawnee Living History Tour, on Saturday May 20, 200 at 7:00 PM and on Sunday May 21, at 2:00 PM at the Xenia Area Community Theater 45 E. Second Street Xenia, Ohio 45385. Admission is free.

All American Indian roles will be read by Tribal Citizens of federally recognized American Tribes.

Follow that rabbit to a delightful, entertaining world of childhood fantasies.  Alice journeys into a world of talking animals, comic royalty and races where the contestants run in circles!  There are also the Mad Hatter’s frantic tea party, the watch-carrying White Rabbit, and talking flowers.  Along the way Alice must deal with a sneezing duchess and a baby that turns into a pig!  The finale has Alice watching a trial, but she suddenly finds herself the accused!  The play gives a modern view to an old classic, where nonsense makes quite good sense.

Just after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express in its tracks. The luxurious train is surprisingly full for the time of the year, but by the morning it is one passenger fewer. An American tycoon lies dead in his compartment, stabbed eight times, his door locked from the inside. Isolated and with a killer in their midst, the passengers rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the murderer – in case he or she decides to strike again.

With two diverse programs, the Festival is truly a bold exploration of dance that features multiple works from world-renowned choreographers, including Cincinnati Ballet resident choreographer Jennifer Archibald’s SIT, Val Caniparoli’s Ibsen’s House, William Forsythe’s In the middle, somewhat elevated, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Written and Forgotten and Garrett Smith’s Façades. The production also includes a to be determined work that will be programmed by Cincinnati Ballet’s incoming Artistic Director Jodie Gates.
