Inspired by the enduring squabbles and themes of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. Co-produced by local Record Store Strange Records, Rude Nights at the Midland is an exciting, raunchy, and fun-filled musical. This production deals heavily with adult themes and contains suggestive and intimate content, as well as adult language and situations. It is not recommended for children below the age of 13, parental discretion advised.

The Midland Theater is proud to present the grand finale of our Rude Nights Summer Concert series. A warm welcome home to the biggest star from our little town, Jessie Minola! See her and her multi-platinum band rock out live for one night only, featuring a special opening performance by her (still local) former high school band!

Orpheus, a grieving musician, loses his beloved Euridice too soon—and is granted one impossible chance to bring her back from the underworld. Guided by music and memory, he descends into a realm of shadows with only one rule: don’t look back. Ricky Ian Gordon’s Orpheus and Euridice retells the ancient myth with lyrical intimacy and emotional clarity, blending classical voice with contemporary style. It’s a haunting meditation on love, loss, and letting go. Sung in English with projected lyrics.
