ALMOST, MAINE Runs Feb. 22-24

TMU_Almost MaineALMOST, MAINE
Thomas More University Theatre
Feb. 22-24
[Crestview Hills]

Welcome to Almost, Maine – a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States and it’s not quite a town because its residents never got around to getting organized. So, it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised, hearts are broken, but the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

AMEILIE the Musical
NKU SOTA Theater & Dance
March 15-23
The Carnegie [Covington]

Experience the magic of the enchanting Amélie The Musical, inspired by the beloved French film. With a book by Craig Lucas and music and lyrics by Daniel Messé and Nathan Tysen, this whimsical story follows Amélie, an imaginative young woman who lives quietly in the world but loudly in her mind. She covertly improvises small but surprising acts of kindness that bring joy and mayhem. But when a chance at love comes her way, Amélie realizes that to find happiness, she’ll have to risk everything and say what’s in her heart. Note: Amélie The Musical is suitable for adult audiences. While Amélie improvises small but surprising acts of kindness, she comes across surprising and delightful people who use adult language and have adult interests.

Mel Brooks’ classic-cult-comedy-Broadway-musical comes to the Covedale! Our 2015 production sold out in hours, leaving many laugh-hungry patrons unable to see the show!

Now it’s back!  Come giggle and cheer as a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant try to produce the biggest flop in history, bilking their backers out of millions of dollars! Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! With a slew of gloriously outrageous songs like “Springtime For Hitler”, “Prisoners of Love” and “I Wanna Be a Producer”, the show skewers Broadway while setting the standard for in-your-face-humor. At the core of this insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends, making for a truly a boffo show, that won a record twelve Tony Awards. It’s sure to wow capacity crowds night after night!
