Be the first to see Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s exciting musical revival ‘Merrily We Roll Along’ and save 50 percent off regular ticket prices!

In March, the Playhouse will reunite director John Doyle with composer Stephen Sondheim for an exciting musical revival of ‘Merrily We Roll Along’. The last time the two met here the result was the Playhouse’s acclaimed production of ‘Company’, which transferred to Broadway and earned the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical.

It’s the eighth Sondheim musical produced by the Playhouse in the past 20 years, in a list that also includes ‘Sweeney Todd’, ‘A Little Night Music’, ‘Gypsy’, ‘Pacific Overtures’, ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum’, ‘Company’ and ‘Marry Me A Little’.

As our thanks to the local theatre community, you can save 50 percent off tickets to first-week performances (March 8-15) of ‘Merrily We Roll Along!’*

‘Merrily We Roll Along’ is a musical fable of friendship and the price of success. The triumphs and failures of a jaded composer and his two closest friends are traced from their estranged ending to their idealistic beginning. As in ‘Company’, a cast of Broadway actors play all the instruments as they sing one of Sondheim’s most melodic scores, with songs including “Not A Day Goes By” and “Old Friends.”
