Two Men Needed for IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR at Middletown Lyric Theatre

MLT_logoMiddletown Lyric Theatre is auditioning two men (age 18+) for our holiday show, IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR.

The show features original songs celebrating Christmas and Hanukkah from the off-Broadway hit That Time Of Year. The show will also feature a few holiday favorites.

You should have a broad range and lots or personality.

Position Overview:
The Patron Experience Specialist will assist the organization in fulfilling its mission of educating, entertaining and engaging audiences of all ages through professional theatrical productions and arts education programming.

Responsibilities:
The Patron Experience Specialist shall be responsible for:

  • Selling Single Ticket Orders.
  • Selling and processing Season Ticket Orders.
  • Answering phone/email.
  • Assisting patrons at the Box Office in our Red Bank Road location throughout the season including STAR performances and AcademyLive! and the Box Office window at the Taft Theatre during performance dates.

The Patron Experience Specialist’s duties include assisting in all aspects of the ticket office, including but not limited to:

  • Audit
    • Daily balancing of subscriber and individual ticket sales
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
    • Processing payments for subscribers and individual ticket accounts
  • Spektrix Ticketing System
    • Building events and merchandise
    • Selling tickets within the system
    • Pulling reports upon request
    • Troubleshooting if necessary
  • TCT Crown Club and Crib Club
    • Facilitating the packaging and mailing of membership items
  • TCT Digital Offerings
    • Serving as the point of contact for any inquiries or concerns for Pick-A-Path and/or Broadway On Demand
  • TCT MainStage School and Outreach Assistance
    • Collaborate with Operations Manager and Sales Manager to migrate and continually update MainStage school contacts in Pipedrive online software for current use when booking TCT On Tour and WorkShops.
    • In the 2023-24 season, facilitate and dispatch MainStage school contracts, as well as assist with contracts for schools and venues booking TCT On Tour and Workshops
    • Help capture new and lapsed school business with personal phone calls and emails, as well as personal interaction (when applicable)
    • Generate new leads for MainStage school bookings (not just lapsed schools)
  • Other
    • All other duties and responsibilities related to the function of the ticket office as assigned.

In fulfilling his/her duties, the Patron Experience Specialist will:

  • Report to and work closely with the Patron Experience Manager to fulfill the mission of TCT.
  • Be an advocate for TCT in the community.
  • Consistently and accurately articulate the philosophy and policies of TCT to the staff, patrons, and the general public.

Ideal and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • College degree in an applicable field
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ticketing system experience – Spektrix a plus!
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Able to work irregular hours and weekends in addition to regular business hours

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Wage Range: $27,000 – $47,000
  • Health, vision and dental benefits available, partially subsidized by employer contributions, after a waiting period.
  • 403(b) retirement plan participation available, after a waiting period, with eligibility for an employer match after one year of credited service.
  • Generous PTO based on years of service.
  •  Generous paid holiday schedule.

School Workshops Teaching Artist Sought by Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park

Job Title: School Workshops Teaching Artist

Position Overview:
Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park seeks School Workshops Teaching Artists for our 2022-23 Season.

The School Workshops Teaching Artist will join our pool of Teaching Artists and may be offered work teaching a variety of theatre-based arts integration in-school classes during the 2022-23 school year. School Workshop Teaching Artists may be offered work in any of the schools and organizations we serve which include locations throughout the tri-state area.

The School Workshop Teaching Artist is responsible for teaching participants using theatre and arts integration techniques, implementing curriculum, communicating with teachers and partners onsite at the schools, mentoring Interns, as requested, and collaborating with Playhouse Education Staff and other professional artists. They are responsible for following lesson plans and maintaining a positive and exciting classroom environment.

This is a temporary, seasonal position with an hourly rate of $35. School Workshops Teaching Artists will be paid for teaching time and 30 minutes total of entrance and exit time per day. Hours will be based on individual classes and needs of the school.

This position requires travel to school locations throughout the tri-state area. Qualified candidates must be flexible and able to take School Workshop assignments in a variety of locations, therefore, candidates must possess reliable transportation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Teach drama integration workshops in classrooms throughout the tri-state area
  • Implement assigned curriculum and distribute student and classroom teacher surveys
  • Trouble shoot challenges as they arise onsite at the school
  • Communicate with school contact and CPIP education staff when running late to the school
  • CPIP strives to maintain a high and unified standard of teaching. To that end, CPIP education staff may observe classes and may assemble Instructors to discuss class content and teaching methods. Teaching Artists are expected to be reasonably available for such meetings
  • May be required to meet with CPIP staff to develop and discuss curriculum
  • Provides a safe learning environment by modeling positive behavior and supporting student accomplishments
  • Teaching Artists may be asked to co-teach with Acting and Education Interns during any residency and provide feedback to the interns following workshop sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Ideal Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching Drama integration curriculum, with specialties including acting, improvisation, writing, character creation, etc.
  • Experience teaching grade Pre-K to grade 12 students
  • Experience working with students in a public and private school settings, from a variety of socio-economic backgrounds preferred
  • Ability to travel to school sites throughout the tri-state area
  • Energetic, responsive, flexible, creative
  • Attentive to details, ability to work independently
  • College graduate, or relevant experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Organized and able to solve problems quickly and positively

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • This employee must have reliable means of transportation
