Emerald Entertainment Seeks Actors

MISC_Casting call2Emerald Entertainment, a local community theatrical group is seeking actors for it’s upcoming stage production DOUBLE DECEIVED that will be performed at the Fairfield Communirty Arts Center. We are looking for the following character roles.

*Marcella-
Female between the ages of 25~40 years of age. Can play the role of a loving wife who goes through some of the most emotional relationship turmoil. Can also be very dramatic at times. Very good role for somemone who is looking to perform before a diverse audience.

*William~
Male between the ages of 25~40 years of age. Can play the role of a infidel husband who gets caught up in an extramarital affair that gets out of control. A very good role for an actor who is looking to get into future dramatic productions.

*Judge~
Male or Female 30 years of age and over. Able to take control of a emotional courtroom. Great role for actors who want to pursue theatrical productions from a legal prospective.

TCT Holding Auditions for ANNIE JR on Aug. 13

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati holding auditions for  ANNIE JR. at Kenwood Towne Center

TCT_Annie JrCINCINNATI – “Are you our Annie?” The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is asking that question as they look for the next star to take the stage as the beloved redhead in their production of ANNIE JR opening at the Taft Theatre in October. On Tuesday, August 13 from 1 PM to 5 PM at Kenwood Towne Centre, girls at least nine years-old can audition to be the lead in ANNIE JR by pre-registering with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati. A limited number of spots are available.

On August 13, one person will be chosen to compete as a finalist for the starring role of Annie in The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s production of “Annie JR.”

YOU SHOULD PREPARE:

  • A memorized monologue (1 minute max).
  • A memorized song that best shows your vocal range. (16 BARS only). Remember your PIANO SHEET MUSIC for your song. An accompanist will be provided. The sheet music MUST have the piano part, not just the vocal line.
  • You may be asked to show us your dance ability, so come prepared. Wear appropriate shoes. No flip flops. Wear appropriate dance clothes please.
  • Please bring a RECENT 8×10 headshot and UPDATED performance resume.
  • Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes ahead of your appointment to fill out paperwork. If we are ahead of schedule, we will audition you early.
  • Due to concentrated rehearsal periods, we ask that you don’t have any conflicts during rehearsals. In an effort to best facilitate all rehearsal times, all those auditioning will be asked to list all conflicts at the time of the audition. Please take note of when rehearsals begin and bring your calendar with you to the audition.

MPI Seeks Directors for the 2014-2015 Season

PIP Seeks Multimedia Designer

PIP_logoCincinnati Playhouse in the Park seeks a highly creative, organized and detail-oriented theatre-lover for our position of multimedia designer. The multimedia designer is the Playhouse’s primary graphic designer and video producer. Duties of the multimedia designer include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with department director, associate director and outside consultants to determine design and visual strategy and production schedule for all marketing and communications.
  • Ensuring a consistent brand look across Playhouse brochures, advertising, publications, website, email, social media and other communications.
  • Designing and laying out a variety of marketing pieces, including brochures, newsletters, signage, fliers, postcards, print and web ads and lobby displays, and designing other Playhouse institutional pieces, including folders, tickets and business cards.
  • Designing additional pieces for other Playhouse departments including educational brochures and support materials for the development and group sales departments, among others.
  • Working with the associate director to develop content for and coordinate production of website videos. Shooting and editing videos for the website and production b-roll.
  • Working with freelance designer(s) on creative direction and visual strategy.
  • Maintaining visual and design aspects of the Playhouse website and contributing to the updating of the site as needed.
  • Coordinating and communicating with printers regarding proofs, deadlines and delivery of finished pieces.
  • Proven experience, proficiency and creativity with the following software applications is required: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Professional) as well as knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), layout and graphic design principles and typography. The ideal candidate would also have proven experience with Premiere Pro (or another professional video editing suite, such as Final Cut Pro) as well as videography and photography lighting and audio editing principals. The ability to produce video graphics with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Three to five years of professional work experience is preferred.

CLP Seeks Part-Time Staffer

CLPCincinnati Landmark Productions, the parent theatrical organization for The Showboat Majestic, Cincinnati’s floating slice of theatrical history and the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a part-time staff member for front of house duties and other patron services.

Box Office/Customer Service/Staff -Job Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age, have high school diploma or equivalency, have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment at The Covedale Center for the Performing Arts AND aboard the Showboat Majestic. Must be a self starter, dependable, and have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Description: House management duties, Will Call, general customer service, assist in concessions/bar area and run a follow spot.

Hours for position vary. Mostly evenings during performances. Must be available weekends too. Pay rate is $8.75 hourly.
