LaComedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio is looking for a male actor (40+, baritone) to play Kris Kringle in their upcoming holiday production of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET.

True Theatre Seeks Your HAIR-Raising Stories

VP Seeks Stage Manager

Angela Klocke Forbes, playwright and director of the family-friendly comedy, Santa Spikes the Eggnog (and Other Family Secrets) is in search of an experienced stage manager.

Important dates to consider:

  • Auditions: September 28 & 29, 2014
  • Production: December 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 2014
  • Rehearsals: TBD; evenings, approximately 3 times per week beginning late October.

Ideally, stage manager would assist at auditions and attend all (or almost all) rehearsals. However, willing to consider a stage manager who would attend blocking rehearsals and the final three weeks of rehearsals only. Stage manager will call the show and have authority regarding the house during tech week and production dates. And a promise: it will be fun! TCP Seeks Directors for 2015-2016 Season

TCP_logoDirectors…dust off that bucket list of plays; we may be searching for you!

Tri County Players, Inc. – performing in The Sharonville Fine Arts Center is accepting submissions for directors and plays for the 2015-16 season.

Directors may submit from one to three plays that they would like to direct.  We are interested in all genres including Musicals.  TCP generally produces three shows per year.  We will consider a Christmas show.  Potential directors are asked to submit plays electronically (preferred) or in book form, and must include a director’s resume.  If your submission does not include a copy of the play or plays you are submitting, you will not be considered.

If you are not a director and would like to suggest a play for consideration send an electronic (preferred) copy or a book copy of the script.  Please include your name and address.

Copies of scripts in book form will be returned following selection of season.

Deadline for all submissions is October 5, 2014.

MUSE Seeks Managing Director

MUSE_logMUSE, Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir, is seeking a managing director. The position oversees all administrative and production aspects of the organization’s operations and also leads the organization’s audience development and fundraising activities (dependent upon previous experience). The Managing Director reports to the Board of Directors and collaborates closely with the Artistic Director.

MUSE, Cincinnati’s Women’s Choir, is a 75 member auditioned choir in the culturally rich city of Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1983 by Dr. Catherine Roma and currently led by Artistic Director Rhonda Juliano, MUSE is one of the most highly regarded women’s choirs in the nation. MUSE has built a feminist, collaborative culture and developed forms of democratic decision-making. MUSE is committed to increasing the repertoire of choral music for a wide range of women’s voices and seeks to continue the choir’s growth as a diverse musical organization supporting peace and justice issues. Responsibilities: The Managing Director’s job responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that detailed objectives in the following general areas are established, implemented (within budget) and evaluated: fundraising and development, marketing, audience development, and merchandising
  • Recruit and facilitate the work of volunteers in assisting in overall operations
  • Oversee and coordinate all administrative aspects of the organization’s operations and productions
  • Oversee creation and management of a donor relations strategy
  • Assist in creating and adhering to a budget; track all expenses in adherence with approved budget
  • Serve as the choir’s direct liaison for external affairs

Hours: Part-Time. Hours are flexible; evening and weekend work required, including but not limited to attendance at rehearsals on Monday evenings, committee and board meetings, concerts, etc; some time required during normal business hours.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience with development and fundraising in a non-profit or arts organization
  • Marketing and communications experience, especially related to audience development
  • Superior writing, organization and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills required. MS Word and Excel required; experience with QuickBooks, Access and database platforms a plus
  • Sound interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively in group decision making settings
  • Must be flexible, possess a strong work ethic, show initiative, and have the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
