BPI in Need of Actors, One Actress for THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD

BPI_logoBeechmont Players’ THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD is in need of several good actors and one good actress to round out the cast. Ages range from older teen to mature male. All roles will be interesting to play as each actor will play several different characters in the show, as many as four. The show runs Aug. 7-15, 2015, at the Anderson Center Theatre.
Show synopsis: Back from the Crusades, King Richard sifts through conflicting stories to figure out what happened in his absence. Told from the testimony of Robin himself, Maid Marian and Prince John, this family-friendly comedy combines three different stories into one hilarious trial.

Actors Needed for 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL at Warsaw Federal Incline Theater

WFIT_Sign at nightCincinnati Landmark Productions is seeking two actors for 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL, the final show in the Warsaw federal Summer Classic Season.

Role include:

  • JOE – The hunky accountant/Ensemble dancer Tenor 2 voice, sings a nice duet at the end of the show with Violet for whom he is the younger man/romantic interest. Male, 25 – 35 years old
  • DWAYNE – Doralee’s attractive husband/Ensemble dancer. He’s very supportive of her professional pursuits. Will sing/dance in in the ensemble and can rock a t shirt too! Male, 25 – 30 years old.

Three unlikely friends take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world. 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL, is set in the late 1970s this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?

Casting Call for Feature Film in Oxford, OH, Set to Shoot in June

MISC_Casting call2This currently untitled crime/drama is the second feature film by local filmmaker James Francis Flynn, who previously wrote and directed “Eastern College”, an award-winning comedy/drama distributed by R2 Films.

All roles are paid. Must have reliable transportation to Oxford, Ohio.

Logline: A young woman, buried in medical bills from having a premature baby, resorts to selling drugs in her small town to make ends meet.

We are casting the following roles:

  • Deidre: 25-35 (White woman). Young mother.
  • Buddy: 20-30 (Black man). Henchman.
  • DD: 40-60 (All races). Crime boss.

We will provide a text to cold read on the day. Please bring headshot and resume.

The auditions will be held at The Carnegie, 1028 Scott Blvd., Covington, KY 41011, from noon-4pm on the 31st of May.
